Just took my son & his girlfriend for dinner tonight to celebrate his 28th birthday. Art was our waiter and he was excellent. The food was impeccable & the service outstanding. If you have never been to Sams you are truly missing out. I promise you will have top notch food & excellent service.
If you are looking for a fine dining establishment with deep roots in this area look nowhere else, this is the place to eat. This fine 5-star fine dining establishment has deep roots within the Anheuser-Busch family and is located on the ground of the Busch family estate.
I highly recommend that you take your hard earned money here. Not only will you be beyond satisfied, but you may take your next meal home with you.
The food is Gordon Ramsey quality standard and the management is super friendly and fun. Mark does an outstanding job and has completely re-shaped and reformed the dining experience at an establishment that has been around for many decades.
I make sure to eat her at least once if not twice a year.
We love Sam's Steakhouse. A Saint Louis standard. The service is always top notch and the steak are excellent. The restaurant is old school in the best way. The bar area feels like an old Chicago lounge. We usually get ribeyes, which are always excellent. Their creamed spinach is my favorite side. The shrimp Louisiana starter is amazing.
My guy made a reservation here for my birthday. Neither of us had eaten here.

The servers were really professional and polite. And the food, OMG delicious 😋
I had the cowboy ribeye and loaded baked potato. He had the NYstrip.
When I say the steak were perfect, I mean it. It was cooked well, seasoned perfectly and delivered to the table warm.
My cowboy steak was so tasty I didn't need to put anything on it. And I'm one of those people that loves to ruin a steak with A1 sauce, lol.
And it was very nice portion size. Between that and the loaded baked potatoes, I only finished like half my meal. But yes, I left a little room for their chocolate mousse cake, which was rich and yummy.
Took leftovers home and my guy tried to take the rest of my cowboy ribeye. No sir! 😁
Depending on your budget, it could be considered a bit pricey.
Overall, It was a great first experience at this restaurant!👍
Eating out with the family, we weren't sure where to go but one of suggested this place since they ate here a few years ago and once we walked in the atmosphere was very calming. We sat down and had some trouble figuring out what too get but once we decided, we later would find out it was a great decision cause the food was amazing. And the service was very good. Overall a great place to eat at for a fancy and nice dinner.

I would never had known about this place had I not been gifted a gift card. I was told that Sam’s is more of an “experience” (but unsure exactly what that meant 🤪)
My husband and I decided to go here for our wedding anniversary. While reading the reviews the morning of going, I did see that you didn’t have to but they had a make a reservation option…so we went ahead and made a reservation for 5pm.
It was cute on the outside upon arrival and I looked forward to seeing and feeling things once inside.
They greeted us upon entering and took us right away to our seats. It was decorated for the holidays and wasn’t full …yet. As the evening went on more and more families filed in, it also happened to be the day after Thanksgiving when families gather and want somewhere nice to go. I’m glad we did make a reservation.
Our server was kind, attentive and we always had our drinks filled without needing to ask.
We had a lovely appetizer (basically a sampler for 2), and enjoyed the ambience and each other’s company while we had a short wait for the main course to be served. Our wedge salads were delicious and our steaks were so wonderful and tender with delightful flavor. (And for the record, I didn’t even WANT to ask for A-1 sauce!) we had the dessert there as well to share. We brought home two things from Sam’s Steakhouse- leftovers for another meal AND memories of a really wonderful meal celebrating our anniversary.
Everything was perfect. We had reservations for 7pm. When we got there we were seated immediately. The food, service, and everything in between was top notch. Would definitely recommend!
This is the best locally owned non-chain Steakhouse in the St Louis area!!! Very cozy dining atmosphere. The staff is super friendly. And the food is always amazing!!! Highly recommended!!!
The server was awfully pleasant and helpful. We also had a second waiter which was also nice. The food was very splendid and sort of airy and light. My favorite was the bread there because it was so warm and fluffy. Everything was fresh and I enjoyed almost everything. The water waiter eyed me 6 times which made me scared but our visit was very good! Great place to visit.
I had driven past Sam's several times. We live 80miles away in Illinois. Covid came and went. But I always remembered the outside of the restaurant. So finally we went. The Christmas decorations are fantastic. Menu choices are adequate. Pricing is on the upper end. But the quality is worth the cost. Everyone ws very friendly. Which in today's restaurants is hard to find. The food was fantastic. The cooking staff really are the stars of Sam's. Not enough can be said about how well they cook the food.
My wife was so surprised when we got to Sam's. She just loved the atmosphere. We both like the older feel over the newer modern...
Definitely will return. It's worth the 80 mile drive..
Wow first time here and what a time to visit during the holidays. This place was decked out outside and the inside was so beautiful.
The food/steaks was absolutely incredible and cooked to perfect. I had the Prime Rib and ordered what I thought was the mid size and this this was massive!!! Even with a cut this size it was done perfect medium rare and had left overs for the next day. All of the food for our group was incredible.
The service was top notch our waitress was prompt, but not pushing us and just allowing us to relax and enjoy.
Highly recommend this place for a Fine Dinning and great steak experience.
