Spent 1 week in St Louis on business from California, decided to give Angelo's a try. The service was impeccable. Server "Ramsay" recommend the appetizers and meal and he did not disappoint. I would recommend this as a most stop place in my book. Ramsay you are correct best Toasted Ravioli's I have yet. Thank you sir for the experience. If I come back to St Louis I will return to Angelo's.
Awesome pizza. Thin crust, provel, a little shy on the bacon but the fresh shaved romano made up for it. Look an awesome pizza for the 4th of July when they are getting slammed, will go back again...… and te waitress was great as well...
As far restaurants attached to a hotel... it's not a bad place. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Our bartender was Ruthie who was quite good. As far as the food, the Toasted Ravioli (apparently what they're known for).... was actually quite tasty. The pizza was ok, the thin crust had a shell crust taste instead of doughy. Not my favorite... folks I was with l didn't mind it.
The loaded fries were over cooked but not lacking in flavor. The chicken parm was also over cooked and greasy. I wasn't able to eat it, but the risotto was good. The Italian burger was good but difficult to eat due to the cheese and sauce grease oozing from the sides. The atmosphere is upbeat with 80s music playing in the background. The food deserves a 3, the atmosphere picked up a 4, I was going to give the staff a 5 star rating until an employee walked out of the back eating and asked us if we needed anything with a mouth full of food. End the end the staff received a 3. The overall rating for a 4 instead of a 3 is due to the amazing waitress Ednshia. She realized I didn't enjoy the food and did everything she could to make it right.
Came here for the lunch special and dessert.
It was recommended to me while visiting The Arch that I try toasted ravioli. My pictures don’t do it justice, but I enjoyed Angelo’s version. According to the waitress, it is prepared from scratch.
Dessert was cannoli with chocolate chips. Hit the spot!
The atmosphere for lunch was low-key and casual. I liked my waitress, Sadie, and her upbeat and relaxed attitude.
I’ll come here again, given the opportunity!
We stopped by after visiting the arch, looking for a place to take young children. The food was alright; I opted for a burger, but I'm sure their Italian food is better than their American. Drinks were excellent and service is above average.
Very good food, pretty laid back environment, prices were very fair. I got the toasted ravioli and seafood linguine and both were delicious. The waiter was kind and courteous and professional. I was there with some colleagues from a conference, but I would feel comfortable taking my two year old. Would definitely go again!
I was pleasantly surprised by this place. My family was going to see the Arch and we had a little over an hour before our time. We came here to eat dinner and it was amazing, both food and the wait staff. Our waiter Brandon was absolutely amazing.. he was fun and very accommodating to my needy kids' requests. Bravo.
I have not seen my husband ask to see the cook since we were on our honeymoon over 26 years ago. He loved the food and for him to compliment the chef means the food is amazing. The ravioli appetizer was awesome and my husband fell in love with the shrimp linguine. I can't say a bad thing about this staff or restuarant from the awesome food to the attentive staff you must give it a try.
Food was decent. I would say lunch entrees were a little bit too heavy. I probably would have been happy with much less pasta on the chicken pasta dish I got. The prices were fair, and it is very close to The Arch if you're looking to eat and go on a walk to see The Arch after
I had some reservations about eating at a restaurant in a hotel, but this was perfect for us traveling several hours and stopping at the Arch. For one, it is about the closest thing to the Arch. For another, the kids enjoyed eating while marveling at it. They loved their food. My wife and I enjoyed ours, although it was very rich and we just got out of our vehicle and were still hot. It is very nice inside.
Very convenient after a visit to the Arch; nice view of the Arch from the table. A bit pricey but superb service. Shared a 12" pizza and large ceasar salad with husband, teens had the gluten-free chicken parmigiana and seafood linguine - loved it all. Worth a visit!
