When this place first open it was really good. The last couple years I can't figure out why I try to go back there. My son wanted tacos from there because he actually likes them. He opens the container and this is what they look like. I mean there is a point of being busy and stuff happens, but this is just lazy. Here is an idea use tin foil to wrap them up so they dont end up like this. Or you could act like you care about the food your serving. You have no pride in your job when you do this.

Enjoyed our lunch. Staff were attentive and very nice. Pretty small inside, but a comfortable patio. A la carte menu, everything has a cost. Chips and salsa $2. I gotta say though they have an excellent namesake, their salsa Verde is phenomenal. Carne asada was pretty good, burrito was constructed and cooked well. Orchata was refreshing. I'll definitely be back.

I was craving Mexican style carne asada tacos and these hit the spot! I was not expecting them to be that good from a quick drive thru spot. Not greasy. Honestly perfect.

Love their $1.50 taco tuesday! I miss the salsa bar and being able to take home condiments that we like on our tacos, but understand the health issues with it too. Their chicken burritos are excellent!

This isn’t even a whole can of corn. Like I could go to any street vendor and get a regular cup of corn for $3. On top of the fact the corn was not authentic. My first and last time coming here. What a rip off. This isn’t even the amount of corn you get on 1 ear. I’ll stick to where I know and go to Aurora next time. The real Mexicans.

This place went downhill fast its not what it used to be we used to come here every weekend then they started switching things up. They took down the nice TVs that displayed the menus they took down the best of all the SALSA BAR!! The placed used to look clean and food was good now it looks dingy and the food sucks. Employees lack cleanliness and professionalism. Sad to loose a favorite spot.

Simply put, this is among the most delicious and most authentic Mexican restaurants not only in the Fox Valley, but also around the country. Abel (GM) and Blana, Tati, and the entire crew bring generous portions and a variety of tacos, excellent guacamole, black beans, and appetizers out to the tables, along with a variety of salsas. To call these guys generous is an understatement. We supported this amazing family business during the pandemic and in the years before, back when they had their old location in Batavia. Unlike so many other establishments, Salsa Verde's meals are very healthy, lean, and only the best ingredients, without fillers or added fat or oils are used. The prices went up a bit recently, but you know what didn't change and what even improved in our opinion? The portions, you're getting everything you paid for here at Salsa Verde, and then extra on top of that. So many restaurants slowly reduce portions and don't say anything, Abel, Blanca, and Tati decided to take this novel approach which they passionately love to promote as well, they serve only the quality and healthy Mexican food, with portions that are even bigger (you're guaranteed to request a to-go box) and they care for you like their own family). The fact is, they appreciate us and every loyal customer because in their words, they have to go above and beyond, because they care and put so much passion into their product. Salsa Verde has even taken the deliberate step to completely remodel the dining room to make it even more cozy and comfortable. As for anything off menu or any suggestions to add on-on to your taco, guac, or bowl, they will even passionately suggest a new touch to each meal that will make your taste buds delighted. Go to Salsa Verde and support an incredible local fox valley staple!

I haven't been here in a few years. It can be so busy in the evening that I stopped going but I was in the area around lunch. It happened to be a Tuesday so I ordered 3 tacos from their four item Taco Tuesday menu - 1 chicken tikka, 1 steak and 1 pork along with chips and salsa.
While waiting, I noticed that they had redesigned and upgraded the dining room. Looks great and more modern now. It also created quite a bit more room.
They quickly brought me the chips & salsa. The chips by themselves were really good and then even better with their house salsa.
The three tacos arrived. Each was extremely flavorful. The pork was my favorite but I really liked all of them.
I'll be making this place a priority again. Someone in the kitchen knows what they are doing. One of my favorite Mexican places in all of Chicagoland for sure.
