World Famous Oasis Restaurant

Excellent cooked to order, hot and tasty food. A friendly wait staff, except for the younger server's. They are too inexperienced. Drinks are watered down in the last 2 vacation stops. We travel to St. Augustine about 3-4 times a year and we have seen a curve downward in the last 2 visits this past year. Maybe management change?? It is also been long waits for food to be served.

I was recommended to go here because I really wanted a baked potato... I didn't know what I was in for, they said "if you've eaten once today that potato is going to be too much". I'm always up for a challenge. I decided to order a fully loaded twice baked potato with my sandwich... Needless to say I took that whole sandwich and a quarter of the potato home and didn't have to cook the whole next day. Sometimes I have dreams where I'm eating a world famous oasis twice baked potato where the inside is layered with a bed of cheese, comfortably nesting perfectly cooked real bacon bits, not that precooked trash, and then blanketed with fresh chives that looked as though God himself had grown and cut them. As I type this my mouth is salivating. The first time I ordered it I thought maybe it was a fluke but to my surprise it was yet again huge and delicious. Since that day if there's ever a time when I want to get the potato that dreams are truly made of and feed two people, I make the journey... A pilgrimage if you will to the world famous oasis, where those dreams come true. And they have a great fish sandwich.

The food is so good! Just trust me when I say to try the peanut butter pie. Service is usually pretty good. I had an interesting experience a few weeks ago when an employee was obviously high and in charge of take out orders. I called to place my order and when I got there everything was messed up. The manager or shift lead (not sure exactly what his role was) fixed it and handled getting my order done. Not sure why he wouldn’t just send the other guy home - there were problems with at least two other take out orders that had been called in while I was sitting there waiting for mine.

We have been going to the Oasis or years. The most stellar of all visits is the waitress named Nickie. She is sweet, kind, conscientious and never stops moving except to make sure her customers are happy and have everything they need! By the way, your scallops are the best on the beach. We had brunch and dinner and watched football on three different occasions. Highly recommend the Oasis. We have a Service Dog and he was treated with kindness and respect. We are from Cleveland Ohio, come a couple of times a year and she makes us at home every time we come down here! Kudos to the Oasis for having a great staff…Dominic too! Thanks. 😊

We had another great meal at The Oasis! This is always on our list when we are in town and never disappoints. We arrived around 1130am (Tuesday before Thanksgiving) and easily found a table upstairs for our party of 7. Our server, Allison, was terrific! She made sure we had everything we needed, and even took a family picture for us. The four adults in our group all got Whalers, which is a large fish sandwich (fried or blackened) with peppers, onions, and cheese. It comes with one side, from which there are many good ones to choose (I got tater tots). There are lots of tvs around with different games and events to watch. Overall, great casual atmosphere, great food, and great service, all for a fair price. Thank you!
