Please see my post. This was with out a doubt the best place to have a wonderful sit down dinner in an extremely private environment. The lobster ravioli was out of this world and the paella was divine. Our service was to die for and we will most certainly be back. Thank you to all of your staff for making our anniversary so special.

When we first sat down and had a look through the menu, my wife and I were unsure. The restaurant was absolutely gorgeous and nicely decorated for being stuffed into the bottom floor of a hotel. The staff was very polite and attentive, loved the staff. Now onto the food. My wife and I both had the filet mignon with whipped potatoes and garlic foam. Yes mother fucking garlic foam(which was divine on the steak and potatoes). This was hands down the best steak I have ever had. For dessert, I went with the Florida native. Let me tell you, don't miss out on the Florida native, it's to die for. It was so good it put me into a sleep coma. The experience and food was so amazing we decide to go back the next night as well. And yes, the second meal also put me into a sleep coma, the same one I just woke up from. Don't even look at the price, it's worth every last cent.

Have dined here twice, both times with a group of 7 with reservations, Table ready and waiting at arrival, staff prompt, courteous, knowlegable, and fun. Food has been perfection both times for all of our crew. Amazing, really! It's at the higher end for island dining, but it does not disappoint. Some of my crew are serious foodies, wine snobs, and life long restaurant veterans. It gets their raves. First time we ate there, about half of us had lobster bisque to start. Next go round, we all went with the bisque. Give in to the creamy, rich bliss. We had a wide variety of entrees: lamb, seafood, & pasta. All lovely in presentation, generous in portion , and delectable! No room for dessert, so you'll have to let us know what we missed. Go!

Creative, delish and peaceful ambiance... La Cocina is affordable for any time but nice enough for special occasions. Chef Marcel plates gorgeously - I'm a fan!! :)

Always fantastic 4.5 Star Restaurant!. The atmosphere is tasteful and elegant yet there are diners in sport coats and others in shorts, Hawaiian shirts and sandals. The food is always wonderful and the presentation will make you smile, it is so creative. Had lump crab and sea scallops and my wife had the seafood paella. Both perfect! Brought our own wine and the corkage fee was only $10. The service was 5 star as it always is. One of the top 5 restaurant in St. Augustine in my opinion. Try it and you'll be hooked like we are.

Good, But It Should Have Been Better. We decided to eat dinner here on 'date night' and even though we were late for our reservation our table was waiting on us. The restaurant was clean and nicely decorated, but a little too noisy to be classified as romantic. The pre-dinner bread was flavorful pieces of garlic and pizza bread served with a warm tomato sauce. The balsamic dressing that came on my salad was delicious! My hubby had the Chilean sea bass which was a large piece of fish perched on top of perfectly cooked asparagus spears and risotto with three grilled shrimp to round out the presentation. My husband enjoyed the entire meal but remarked that he could have eaten just a plateful of the shrimp because whatever marinade and seasonings had been added made them delicious. Our second entree, the angel hair pasta, fell short of our expectations. The entree wasn't bad but it did not have any olives nor did it have fresh pecarino as described in the menu. Plus the server assured me we could have it without mushrooms and it was filled with mushrooms when it was brought out. The server did apologize for the mistake and offered to replace it but by that time we had already been waiting for an hour and I did not want to eat in shifts. We did not order any appetizers, alcohol or dessert plus we ordered right away, and we were there for close to two hours! Very, very slow service. Plus parking was dreadful!

Love this place!. La Cocina is an amazing restaurant on A1A, St. Augustine Beach. My husband and I have been here before and were not disappointed. Today, we went there around 5pm, which is when they open for dinner. For appetizers we had Crabcakes & Meatballs, both were fantastic. We also ordered Lobster Bisque which was the best Lobster Bisque we have ever had, and that is including Capital Grille's Lobster Bisque which was initially our favorite until now which I never thought I would ever say!

For dinner I had Filet Mignon with a mushroom sauce, mashed potatoes and asparagus...amazing! My husband had the Seafood Platter which was tasty but he preferred the Paella (which he had the first time we ate at La Cocina). Then we had dessert and I have the Chocolate Cake which was very good and my husband had the Key Lime Pie, it was to die for! La Cocina has a wonderful ambiance as well, very romantic. Our waitress was very nice however, La Cocina can be pricey, overall with everything (we splurged) our bill was $115 not including tip, we did get a lot of food. This is a great place for date night, or just to enjoy a wonderful meal!

Finest restaurant in Saint Augustine!. My wife and I are live and work in Orlando and frequent many of the fine dining establishments for both work and pleasure. We cannot emphasize enough that La Cocina International Restaurant is by our judgement the finest dining experience in the Saint Augustine area in terms of quality and service. Located in a hotel on Saint Augustine Beach, it is about 2 miles from the old downtown area.

Juan Solano, the owner and executive chef of La Cocina is extremely talented and a humble man who believes in the quality of his food and service above all else. He keeps a careful watch on every element of his operations. He also owns and operates La Cocina Mexican Restaurant with more casual authentic mexican food that is the best I've ever had in Florida.

I have to warn you that he has perfected the filet mignon steak and it is guaranteed that you will not find a better cut or preparation of that entree anywhere. Once you try it, every other steak will disappoint you. His creme brulee is heavenly with just the perfect amount of candied top and creamy caramel custard underneath. Try the chopped romaine country salad, crawfish crepes, lobster bisque and chicken bouree. They are all excellent.

We were so impressed that we recently hired Juan to cater our wedding's rehearsal dinner at the Cedar House Inn, a beautiful victorian bed and breakfast. He worked with us on developing a 5 course meal with intermezzo that was a huge hit with our family and friends who will now never see another filet mignon steak in the same way again.

We are now patrons for life and will always stop by La Cocina while in Saint Augustine. Do yourself a favor and see what fine dining without the pompous ambience is like at a reasonable price. Truly a gem in one of Florida's most beautiful cities!

Beautifully delicious. My wife and I were staying at the Castillo Real Hotel at St Augustine Beach and stumbled upon this jewel of a restaurant. We have had three meals here ( breakfast and two dinners) and they were awesome. The atmosphere is casual but inviting, the food is lovingly prepared and presented and you know the staff really cares. The lobster crepe is the best I've ever had. Enjoy

The Place!. We had a situation where we needed to feed several people with very different dietary requirements, sometimes this frightens me.

We were visitng town and were steered to La Cocina which turned out to be a wonderful find. Unlike many beach locations, this one has a steady base of regular customers who appreciate fine food.

All of the plates that passed our table were picture perfect. The food tasted as good as it looked too. I want to go back soooooon please :)

This is a hidden gem in St Augustine most of the restaurants don't meet the standard they have if they do their downtown at a ridiculous price point! The hostess many years in the restaurant industry and is well versed in food and wine!

What a great dinner with my wife. We went for our anniversary dinner while vacationing and it did not disappoint. The lobster bisque was delicious. Creamy and full of flavor. We also got the escargot and it was so good. My wife was a little skeptical but she was a fan as well. I got the sea bass and my wife got the lobster ravioli. Both were very pleased and the quinoa with the sea bass was a sneaky delicious side. Would absolutely recommend

Service was exceptional. Food was exceptional. The only thing that was a little disappointing was the size of the place. It's very small and quaint. There are no view or anything to see. Also no bar or cocktails only wine .One thing that stands out for me and my husband is we always split things and most of the time places, no matter how expensive they are, usually just bring out one plate of food and if you ask sometimes they might bring an extra plate but this place actually served it split. He had a plate with the food on it and I had a plate with the food on it and it was very beautifully presented. There was no extra up charge.

Such a wonderful evening! Our server was knowledgeable about the menu. I was having the Chilean seabass, so asked for a wine recommendation. The server brought a bottle of white wine and offered a taste, which I thought would be perfect paired with fish. The first course we had the lobster bisque, which was exquisite. Small pieces of lobster, silky texture, hint of sherry. Fabulous. Second course baked brie with toastini and strawberries. Third course was Chilean seabass. My dining partner had the filet mignon, medium rare. Both entrees were fantastic.

What a top notch place! We went here to celebrate a birthday with a bunch of family. They were gracious enough to reserve & accommodate our very large party during Night Of Lights!! Thank you so much chef! The servers were great, attentive and gave us room. First time there, food was great! 75% Gluten Free and something for everyone! You can have Lamb, Korean Braised rib, Lobster Bisque and Pasta or Steak!! I am certain we ordered the entire menu, deserts included. The Birthday girl was celebrated and given a berry tiramisu was awesome! I had the coffee🔥🔥 The atmosphere is as you may expect from the name, it was a great place where large group could talk and be heard, but kinda laid out as such that it’s quiet and you have a sense of privacy. We’ll be back regularly on date nights and I think you made a regular lifers on the in-laws!

Absolutely amazing food!! Very friendly atmosphere and customer service. Fast and delicious. They have a breakfast deal for people the stay in one of the rooms, $8.50 includes tax and non achoholic beverages. The price is pretty much the same very cheap for extraordinary food and service! The deal pretty much is a free drink so I would grab it at the front desk prior to going in.
