Nice little spot to grab some made to order Chinese food. I was in this parking lot before and never even noticed this tiny little hole in the wall restaurant. My daughter told me about this place. We've been eating more plant based and vegetarian options and this place has a pretty nice variety to choose from.
honestly. Don’t sleep on this seemingly hole in the wall. We ordered the Salt and Pepper Tofu and the Salt and Pepper Eggplant. Two things to know: Salt and Pepper anything is my go to and so I’ve had a lot. I’ve never had the tofu fried but still SOFT on the inside. Like a very soft tofu!! Normally a firm tofu but that was such a fun texture. My fiancée loves eggplant and WE HAVE NEVER HAD IT PREPARED LIKE THIS. it was BUTTERY AND DE-VINE!!! The flavor was so good and the batter of both was so crispy and salty and UGH! Also GREAT bang for your buck i would say their prices are super worth it. Please order those.
This place is a small hole in the wall take out only restaurant which would explain the economy pricing of its menu. I ordered a large chicken chow mein and for $11 the portion size could feed a small family. It was actually really good. Chicken was cooked just right as were the noodles. I would have liked to see a little more balance with more veges added but other than that, it was worth it.
One of the best chow fun in Sac. The smokiness of the noodles is on point. Salt and pepper chicken wings are perfectly seasoned and crispy every time. Keep coming back.
Takeout only. Affordable, NOT TOO GREASY, basic Chinese food. Active kitchen serving the community that takes EBT. NOT fine dining but do appreciate 1) food not completely soaked in grease (unlike SOME places, read my other reviews) and 2) fast service and desire to serve the community with basic hot meals. Adequate for vegetarians. Hardworking, honest people.
They are too polite to say this but all people not paying EBT are expected to tip. The no tip option is for our brothers and sisters using EBT for an honest hot meal.
I order food here tonight. We order house chow fun, salt n pepper wings, and combo plate # 7. Not a disappointment. Food was really good and fresh. And the price was not bad at all. Thank you so much. I will definitely order or go done in if it's open. Love the food.
The food is delicious! Very good value for the generous portions served... and fortune cookies. The staff has always been friendly to us and the other patrons. Located in a strip mall. Currently due to Covid, the small dining room is blocked off but takeout orders are available and Doordash is available.
I have been coming to Cathay' for as long as I can remember!! 😋 I love the food, as a matter of fact I am simply crazy about Asian food especially Cathay's!🤸🤸🥳
It's dirty pleasure chinese food in Ardens getto. Food is great, specially their mongolian beef. I don't live around there anymore but pass by once a month and order something every time. Owners are always nice. There are no dine in or accommodations and not much atmosphere but who wants to sit in that neighborhood anyways 😁. They have catering options.
Very very good Chinese. I haven't dined in the establishment, as I get my meal as take out. The inside is quiet and the employees are focused on cooking! Big portions and best Chinese restaurant near me and I've tried most of them. BBQ pork chow mein is amazing.
