Very fast service. The cinnamon roll I ordered on Monday is the reason I’m going back today, 2 days later. Yum! If you order a cinnamon roll, ask if they can warm it for you....SO yummy and soft.
I am knocking off a star due to the fact that, while overall excellent quality of the food and beverage offerings, the lack of adequate staff to service the influx of customers leaves quite a bit to be desired. I believe that if Speciality's hired an employee or two more they would nip this problem in the bud. The atmosphere is upbeat, maybe a bit too loud with questionable accoustics to deflect loud voices (everyone in Sacramento seems to scream at each other!) and the background music playing. I would like to return on a sunnier, warmer day and take advantage of the attractive patio seating outside.
After hearing rave reviews from my coworkers, I finally decided to try this place out even though it's a bit on the pricey side for me. I've tried the spinach and bacon salad, as well as the greek goddess salad, and I was pleased with both. I love that they come with a slice of super soft and delicious focaccia. Customer service wasn't as great as I expected it to be, though they tend to be very busy during lunch hours. I suggest ordering ahead if you plan on visiting between 11am-1pm. At the counter my friend ordered immediately before me (a salad) and she was called within five minutes, yet I waited over 10 minutes for my salad after she had already received her order. Overall a very clean and well-maintained building with plenty of indoor seating. I believe it's worth mentioning that a lot of homeless people hang out in and around here.

Looks like a good and tasty bakery with Peet's Coffee which is the best, but keep in mind unfortunately they are completely closed Saturday and Sunday
I like this place . The reason ; friendly staff, power ports everywhere, relavtivly fast compared to the number of customers.I tried the peanut and stuff today, it is really ‘go for it ‘ if you are looking for light veggie lunch.
The new company I work for bought sandwiches, salads and sweet treats for a small departmental lunch gathering for a person retiring. I was totally impressed with the laying of fixings on the huge half sandwiches. All the food was super fresh and the bake goods.... well just looking at them added 10lbs on me. Would highly recommend the food! Couldn’t give 5 stars because I haven’t been to the joint. Take out or eat in. Taste buds will be happy!
I would give 5 stars. Their food is great, however food quantity has been declining over time. The sandwiches were bigger and there used to be more content in their soups now it's a bit watered down. At least the salads are still decent, but overly priced in my opinion.
Great sandwiches, croissants, and the best cookies in Sacramento. A bit pricey for such food, but quality is well above average. Gets really crowded at lunch, so get there at 11:30 or 11:45 if you can. Recommended.
Excellent food. Very popular at lunchtime, so a bit crowded and noisy while waiting for the food, but we were able to find seating for our group easily enough. You can order online or at the kiosk to cut down on the wait.
I've been here twice. Once as a walk in and ate there. The service was friendly and the food was good, esp the cookies! I also tried their online ordering system and it worked perfectly - I placed my order online, walked in at the time I asked for it to be ready, and walked out - no fuss.
