Delicious lattes. Had a hot bake croissant with turkey and cheese, bowl of cheddar cheese broccoli soup. Yum. Perfect on this gloomy morning
Cuz'n came in from out of town. So we met for a quick brunch.
Very relaxing, fresh food, great environment & quiet/relaxing.
A nice spot to stop for lunch or a snack after a visit to the Sac Zoo and a stroll or bike ride through William Land Park.Clean, comfortable, plenty of outdoor seating as well as a pleasant interior, friendly staff, great food and a nice experience all around. I ordered the BLTA on toasted wheat bread, and a my spouse enjoyed her Pan Turkey Sandwich which had all the fixings of a complete Thanksgiving dinner tucked inside. We shared a huge Asian Pasta Salad, were not sure we could finish it all, but kept on nibbling until it was all gone. Premises are well maintained, and the restrooms are clean as a pin. I look forward to a return visit to try other things they have to offer.
Great example of a local Cafe spot, with some fantastic simple fare items. They always seem to have great service, and quality food and drinks
La Bou is one of these places I didn't chair too often, when I lived in the area. But, they've become a frequent stop when I'm visiting, because it really reminds me of the quality stuff I can get whenever I'm in Sacramento.
Fantastic little coffee house. Great crowd, good atmosphere. Very comfortable place to relax with a nice cup and a croissant. Highly recommend
Good food. Sporadic quality of service but they do fill the sandwiches here much fuller than the Madison location. Not the most inviting atmosphere but a great choice for a to go lunch to take over to the William Land Park Rock Garden.
La Bou by the Zoo has been a local favorite since I was a kid. Tasty sandwiches, fresh baked goods, and delicious desserts are always on the menu.
I love a classic tuna melt with fresh Caesar salad. Recently, I tried some breakfast items, and the bagel/croissant sandwiches are great options, especially in the colder mornings.
Lemon bars and coffee cake are amazing dessert choices.
Staff is helpful, friendly, and doing a great job in the face of certain challenges.
I arrived late morning so, they were already out of my favorite ham and cheese croissant. I decided to try something different today. I ordered a ham and swiss panini sandwich. A vegetarian bagel breakfast sandwich. 2 tea mango smoothies and an iced mocha. My order was to go. When we got home I was eager to try the panini sandwich. After the first bite I was very disappointed. It had onions and some type of spread on it. I did not like the taste at all. The menu board did not state those items came on this sandwich. Unfortunately money in the trash. My son's were happy with the tea mango smoothies and my vegetarian son really enjoyed the bagel breakfast sandwich.

This La Bou has never let me down. From the constant phenomenal service to the incredible service of the always attentive staff. I love this location above all other LB locations, for one main reason: They always follow through! I have called and had them help me with numerous La Bou based situations. They have always come through and made sure my groups were fed and happy! Thank you "La Bou by the Zoo!", You are the best!
It must have been senior citizens day because pretty much the whole place was filled with 65 and over
For whatever reason it gave the atmosphere a relaxed enjoyable and pleasant experience
It was our 1st time visiting this La Bou
I'll have to say that it's neck and neck between the Howe Avenue and the Landpark La Bou
Each location has its own vibe of serenity and you can make your coffee ☕ the way you want.
