Beef pho is perfection. I don't go anywhere else anymore for pho. Didnt like the chicken plate much. Has too much cumin in the marinade I think.
Exotic great rating food. Vegetarian friendly or sub another protein in the varies entrees. I'm a big meat eater and being a butcher I'm a little snobby. All thy being said I was very satisfied with the quality and portion ratio of protein to veggies. Try the Korean BBQ and jungle chicken. Next time you find yourself hanging with a big crew order up the Star for a smorgasbord of tasty tidbits and delight.
I'll give this place 4 stars even though they tried to steal extra money from me. The food is awesome don't get me wrong, the pho is great but make sure you check your receipt and then your bank statement! I put a $5 tip and went to review my bank account later on in the month and the server "mistakenly" added a $30 tip! They gave me a full refund so I'm still a happy customer and I still go there from time to time.
The ambience here is incredible, the music for dinner is lively but muted to allow for comfortable conversation. The staff is friendly and service on point. Only one location but easy to find just off the freeway. Casual yet elegant with a variety of Asian cousins focusing mainly on Vietnamese and Thai. If you find yourself in the area it is certainly a great place to dine. Tender beef prepared to perfection, shrimp was perfect. $37.50 for five
I had a nice veggie grilled sandwich with sweet potato fries! Service was good, as was the food. Bathrooms could use a little elbow grease. Otherwise, i recommend for a casual meal!
Normally, I hate counter-style restaurants. I detest the whole process of waiting in the line to order, then hunting for a seat and being expected to leave a tip for someone to do the equivalent to a McDonalds employee's job. The parking situation here is equally bad, so you would think with two major points against it, I would just skip it. However, I make an exception for Star Ginger, because the food is delicious. Plain and simple, they have a tasty menu, and remain consistent.
Consistently good food. I love the banh mi sandwiches and grilled plates. Looks like the phos are popular as well. Love that they added wine and brew. I travel from Elk Grove have a lunch meet up. Make for a nice break and so work the few miles. May have to keep going until I try it all!
Great food. Wonderful staff. Good prices. Jasmine rice always cooked to perfection. Wonderful tastes. If you like tour Thai spicy, then make sure you say something like, "Not White girl spicy, Thai girl spicy." It'll make your head sweat, your eyes water, and your nose run. Just sayin. :-)
Omgs their Curry dishes are the best. The service is amazing. The place is always clean and overall it's a nice place. The only concern would be that the parking lot is too little, but around the restaurant you can find spots available.
I love the beef pho here and my coworkers love the vegetarian options! Today part of the order was forgotten and they ran it to our clinic quickly, with a full refund! 10/10 service; will order again !
