I wish we have a restaurant like this in San Francisco soon. This is a business casual spot for foodies that I really enjoyed, good sushi check, good specialty cocktails that changes with the seasons, and great fusion dishes and tapas. My favorite dishes were the uni beignets, the mushroom gnocchi, and all the nigiri we had especially the fish from Japan. Service was great and attentive and the food just kept coming. The restaurant is huge and has an atmosphere for everyone, for example if you want a more intimidate vibe you can sit at the chefs counter where you can watch them make the sushi, or if you want a fun casual vibe you can sit at the bar, if you came with a group you can sit at a bigger table in the main dining area. The biggest takeaway from dining here is that the menu and atmosphere is diverse and there’s something for everyone that you’ll enjoy.

I was lucky enough to squeeze in on a busy day. The hostesses treat you really kind here, it reminded us of the 2 Michelin star restaurant I ate at. It’s fancy inside and they describe the food in detail before it’s handed to you. The amount of sushi was generous and you can taste the quality. My only reservation is the price…which of course comes with the service. Also parking can be pain. I ended up parking long the street because both parking lots were full.

Loved this sushi spot! There is a bit of a wait, but I’d say it was well worth it. The servers and sushi chefs were lovely. Every dish was delicious, so unique and beautifully presented. I especially loved the Kings Sushi Roll (the citrus made it unique and refreshing) and the Hamachi Kama (melted in my mouth, so delicious). Highly recommend this spot! Perfect date spot.

This review is long overdue. This is my favorite sushi spot on the planet so far. Granted I’ve yet to travel to Japan. The customer service is supreme. Whoever trained the staff deserves an award. The food gets me high every time. I recommend EVERYTHING on the menu. Bring a few friends and share everything. My favs are the sunshine roll, 3 alarms and spicy B. They make a perfect old fashion with Elijah Craig. The decor is clean and warm. Sit at the Sushi bar and enjoy or chill at the bar and chat it away. The nigiri selection 🍣 is fantastic. Enjoy 😉

I’ve been all around the world and Kru has one of the best sushi in California. They have the freshest sashimi that doesn’t require sauces. That’s how fresh they are. Kinda like eating a great rare steak, doesn’t require seasonings. Full bar and staff makes theeee best cocktails. They even have an extensive sake menu, but the Nigori is my go to. Great vibe and awesome experience each and every time. Arigato 🙏🏽❤️ Six stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Heard Kru from a lot of friends, and glad I finally had the time to try it out! Didn't have any reservations, so I decided to walk in. I came in a little before 5PM. 4PM opens up for bar seating and 5PM is when the dining room (and sushi bar) is open. There is a table at the front next to the bar, which is available for walk in guests as well, but first come first serve. The two of us ordered: -pac man $17: cutest drink, not bad -calicraft pitcher $17: best to get a pitcher if you plan to drink more than one beer! Not a bad hazy. -chutoro carpaccio $22: pretty good dish. -sashimi tapas $30: great sharing dish for two. -salmon skin handroll $8 ea: could go without. Not too much salmon skin, but added tobiko was a nice touch -drake roll $15: ok roll -NGO burger $18: people mentioned the burger was to die for. I thought the burger itself was good. I wasn't a fan of the bun. Way too dense and dry. -beef tsukune $15: tasted like a wagyu meatball. Just ok -duck dumpling $8: MUST order to finish your meal. Delicious dumpling with a great soup after. -sorbet (apricot) $5: nice light dessert to finish We were seated at the far end of the sushi bar. Huge downside, for whatever reason, there were a ton of flies going around, so I spent a lot of time shooing them away. Shoutout to the staff here. They are quick to clean and serve. Thank to our server Cindy, Justin at the sushi bar, and Faith for helping with the drinks at the bar. There is a small attached lot if you're lucky to get one...otherwise, park along the street or a block down. I'll see you soon Kru!
