We just had the greatest experience at this restaurant that I'm in the car not 5 minutes later compelled to leave a review. Our waiter was over the top exceptional. You know when you have high expectations for a night (like your lucky 7 anniversary) and they're so high that it's almost inevitable that you'll be let down. Well I had high expectations for the night and Enrique our waiter, plus the well prepared food, plus the complimentary dessert, just overly met our expectations and we will definitely be back. Staff was attentive, kind, generous, knowledgeable. We were treated well. I can't say enough good about what we just experienced. It was more than dinner.
I was there with Co workers for a presentation in one of their back rooms, the food was outstanding, appetizers were yummy, staff was friendly. It did, however take a long time to get coffee when I arrived and the server had to go back twice once for the cream and then for the sugar.
A++. My daughter who lives in Rockford told me to go here “ best restaurant in town”. She was right. Ambiance was very chill but classy, food was excellent. From salad , to tapas to main course,everything was top notch. Service,especially our waiter Enrique was very relaxed , not rushed , pleasant and very professional. The chef Kevin came out and introduced himself , great guy and amazing chef. The bar area looks has nice vibe. Definitely “ best in Rockford “. If you want a nice relaxed and classy dinner in Rockford, highly recommend and must go restaurant.
Had a great dinner. The brussel sprout appetizer was unique and very good. Then came a nice little side salad. The surf and turf was different from what I've seen elsewhere, being a Wagyu steak and scallops. Everything was prepared well and tasted great. Dessert was chocolate mousse cake, which was pretty traditional and very good. Drinks were also unique and very good. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
I have been here several times but as of late there has been some changes made. The food is better than ever.. There are allot of places in town that try to offer the high end food.But all you really get is mediocre food and large bill… This place is not the case. You get what you pay for and it’s absolutely delicious and worth the prices. Regardless of where they seat you . I would recommend asking for Enrique. He really makes the experience enjoyable!
There was a miscommunication with our reservation but the owner Laura insisted we stay for our New Years Eve dinner as other places might be booked up. They treated us like family. The waitstaff was amazing the food was absolutely delicious. We forgot to take pictures of the best oysters I have ever had! The atmosphere for new years eve was very romantic. The tables were decorated with New Years party favors. This is definitely an experience we will never forget. If we are ever back in town we will most definitely be back. Would love to sit in the patio area next time.

Josef has amazing food and fantastic service. As people have stated the seating indoors is very comfortable and the patio is adorable considering the location that’s somewhat unexpected. A really nice place for a romantic dinner or group dates.
My family enjoyed the food. They had the outside patio available. It was really nice and had a romantic setting.
Top notch food and service. Incredible dining experience! Best clam chowder I have ever had. Filet was perfect. Service was knowledgeable and unpretentious.
