This is my favorite spot to dine downtown Rockford. The menu has something for everyone, they have a full bar and the service is always great. We love the burgers and sandwiches. The pretzel bites were very good. The wall is covered with plaques from the famous hotdog challenge. Our server told us the record was 55 hotdogs in four hours! Would be really entertaining to watch someone try to complete the challenge. I also felt that the prices were very reasonable especially for downtown Rockford. Other restaurants down the street do not compare in terms of quality of food.

I hosted a surprise party this weekend in the upstairs portion of the restaurant. The space was beautiful and the staff did a great job. There are “extra” parts of the space that make it more fun such as a microphone, darts, ms Pac-Man, and more. I want to give a HUGE thank you to John who helped me plan the event and was SO helpful and understanding through all the changes in numbers of people. I know they could have made more money on another event I’m sure, but I’m so grateful they let me hold mine here. I would recommend for anyone to use the event space at corner bar. Thanks to you all!

Fantastic spot and the history is fun as well! We had the cauliflower bites and pretzel bites for appetizers. Then the Mahi Mahi tacos, Michigan Craft Burger and the famous chili dogs with fries. We enjoyed all we had and will be back the next time we visit from Montana!

Excellent food, just really really good. We were a table of nine and everybody cleaned their plate, everybody raved about the food and we had a variety of dishes ordered. So props to the cooks props to the kitchen.
Service wasn't terrible but just okay, some items were forgot and and we were slow to get some refills. I only knocked one star off because it's always a busy place and we were a large party. But our waitress in particular was just a little extra absent-minded.
Overall though a great meal, with great atmosphere, and at a great location.
Pricing is as expected, this is not a place to get a super cheap meal necessarily, but it's not outrageous. Chili dogs were, as reported, 👌

Glizzy was good. Cheese curds were a little lacking and they were out of spinach dip for lunch. Service was great and we love Rockford. We would definitely go back.

It was a little slow ordering and the being served our food. The guys ordered burgers and fries. They stated the fries were tasteless and probably sat under the heat lamp for a while. I got a salad. The chicken was dry but everything else tasted okay. We had to ask a couple times for a booster chair.

This place blew me away. Service got a low review because it took 2 hours to get our food but we had a 5 hour wait for another event so we stayed, the atmosphere is phenomenal and food was great as well. It has the makings of a great restaurant/bar I would definitely try again if in town to see if the service would be quicker which I believe we came at a busier then normal time

Service and atmosphere were both great. The wife and I stopped in for a beer while we waited for an appointment elsewhere. It was our first time there and the place looked great. We were served at the bar almost immediately. The large selection on the drink menu featured everything from local, craft beers to unique signature mixed drinks and cocktails.
As my wife and I looked through the menu, we both concluded we needed to return to try out more options.

The service was good. Anna did a nice job. The hot dogs are very overrated. Very skimpy on the chili and almost no cheese or onions. The fries were very good, however. The atmosphere is not nearly as enjoyable as before the fire, but that is totally understandable.

It’s not very often that I crave hot dogs, but when I do, The Corner Bar hits the nail on the head! I ordered chili cheese dogs in a basket with a tequila sunrise, and it was delicious from start to finish. The dogs had a perfect balance, not messy either, and fries were amazing!
