Bakehouse 46

The Cherry Cheesecake donut is a perfectly delicious donut. The flavors remind you of cheesecake with its light donut texture and toppings, however it does not give the heavy feeling or exact taste of cheesecake. The donut literally melts in your mouth ! 😋🍩🍰 Try it for yourself and trust me when I say after one bite you will want a dozen! #Yummy.

I've been here a couple times but my most recent visit was during the Downtown Rochester Snowglobe event. Bought several mini cupcakes and they were all dry and "crusty". Not moist like regular cupcakes. Also got several hot chocolates and my group and I were not impressed. They added too much actual chocolate chunks in there and it was way too sweet. Also, we were drinking actual chocolate chunks. In my prior visit, I bought several hot chocolate bombs here for $6+ per bombs. In my opinion, it's not worth the price or taste. The hot chocolate that we purchased (mentioned above) tasted exactly like the hot chocolate bombs.

I love Cupcake Station cupcakes, but the ones I received recently from Bakehouse 46 were unacceptable. I ordered 24 cupcakes (all varieties) for a gathering. They were packaged and ready. As a treat for my crew, I ordered three different additional cupcakes. I asked my child to hand me one and she could not get it out of the paper in one piece. It literally crumbled in the container. We hoped that the other two would be firm, but no, they crumbled as well. On one hand, I was happy to get those extra cupcakes because it showed me what to expect. I had to purchase extra plates and plasticware so my adult guests would not have an unexpected mess. On the other hand, I was disappointed that the cupcakes all of us were looking forward to were not of the quality we came to expect from the Cupcake Station. I am not sure if the recipe was changed, but we will definitely go with another bakery next time.

A calm, simple atmosphere with great selection without going overboard. I visited Bakehouse 46 with my wife and 4 kids and we loved it! The staff is incredibly friendly and made great recommendations. The cappuccino was pretty standard, but the sandwiches and mini cupcakes are worth the trip. We ate the Big Baker (YUM!) l, a Basic with egg, and a Club w/o egg. Check them out and tell them Scott sent you… they will have no idea who I am 😂
