Never have a bad meal at this place and have been going on and off since 2013. (I had moved and am now back again for a travel assignment). Love the old school diner feel/“greasy spoon” feel of the place. Didn’t know they changed their hours so we got there in time before their closing at 3pm on Sunday. Portions were huge and my husband was pleased as this was his first time. Great view of the water and friendly atmosphere. Love the chili sauce they make and condiments you can put on your food. This place never disappoints and prices are decent for the portions.

Hot beef sandwich with fries n gravy. Tasted amazing. Great portion size. Meat was on the tough side, but it was actual meat not processed deli roast beef but very thin sliced steak.

A classic Rochester burger joint. A little slow taking our order, but it came in a fair amount of time. They actually cook your food... Not sitting under heat lamps for hours. Prices are fair. The history on the walls in articles and photos is amazing! A definite spot to go!

As good-tasting as it's classic. LDR has a taste and feel like no other place in the #ROC. Check this place out if you haven't. If you have, you're probably like me and have a favorite booth! Awesome fresh cooked burgers. Best shakes in town👌🏻

My husband and I go every Thursday night. The wait staff are very friendly and great service. The food is very good. Have developed a lot of friends there. Highly recommend!!!!!

LDR is an iconic burger joint. We have been regulars for 40 years. I get the steak sandwich (dressed) and my wife gets a hamburger. We split an order of home made rings and fries. We love this place.

I grew up in Rochester and have been eating at the ldr more years than I care to admit, went there again with my old high school friends when I was visiting in the area, and it didn't disappoint I had the beef barbecue which was always good and is the same recipe I remember. My friend had a steak sandwich and it had no fat on it at all the place was hopping as it always is, my only complaint was the air conditioning was broken. I'll definitely go again next time I'm in town!

LDR is an authentic Diner/Drive-in classic adjacent to Ontario Beach Park... where good old fashioned Hots, Beef, Rochester style garbage plates, Homemade Onion Rings and family friendly atmosphere and prompt thoughtful service collide. They were so busy, they could have used an extra staff member just to sweep up inside and out. It was a great experience, we'll be back.
TIPS:
+ 2 sides are plenty for 2 adults..:)
+ The meat sauce is excellent!
+ Hahaha! Plan a long saunter on the
pier to "work off" a lil dinner...
