This place is amazing! The staff and owner are so informative and knowledgeable about their meats. My kids as well as my husband loved learning and watching them butcher and break down the portions of the cow. Can not wait to come back on a Wednesday to try the ramen bowl, the 2 hour drive is definitely worth it! Thank you to Mccann's for such a wonderful experience!
I have officially lost track of how many times I have been to McCann’s this year alone. Never once have I been dissatisfied, only overwhelmed with the joy of great tasting meals. Kevin and the staff at McCann’s always provide excellent service, and fully educate you on their vast offerings.
If you want to really treat yourself, I recommend having them grill you a steak directly from the case with a side of beef-fat fries. Top that off with a beer from the tap, and you will have experienced one of your best meals in life.
For good measure, don’t forget to bring some bacon home for the morning after �
Really delicious prepared foods. Especially the 2x2x2x2 breakfast sandwich and the pancakes. They also consistently have a very good selection of beer both in the beer cooler, and on tap.
I have also really enjoyed all the meat that I have purchased there. The prices on meat are very reasonable when compared to the prices at Wegmans.
This is one of the best places on Earth. I cannot say enough about how superb this restaurant/butcher shop is. It’s a great place to find high-end, locally raised meats. It’s got a factory vibe, with a lunch counter atmosphere. I’ve had the bahn mi sandwich, as well as the steak and cheese. I’ve also had the burger. Service is fast and friendly. You can’t go wrong here!
What a neat little place. Very friendly staff and the brunch is outta this world. If I had one suggestion it would be to refine the coffee area and transactions. Walking the entire length of the shop and paying for a refill at the till is a little cumbersome. Maybe moving the cream/sugar area with a few carafes to the far side of the shop and letting people drop a dollar in an honor box would work just as well.
You simply must go. The food is delightful but even more than that the service is amazing. Kevin has amazing team and he is a clear leader passionate about his craft and in touch with the customer. You will often find Kevin checking on tables and making general small talk with patrons. The cuts of meat are above anything else in Rochester (or I dare say anywhere) staff is knowledgeable, patient, and friendly. You need the pancakes in your life!! We have been fans since the beginning and we are so thankful to have McCanns in town.
My first time here and I will be a regular. The atmosphere is amazing, Kevin, the owner, is right on site and greets customers and the lunch was amazing. What a hidden gem in The ROC!
Beef bacon BLT and chili were outstanding. Never had anything here that is not amazing. Staff are all super friendly and helpful.
Club, Pastrami sandwich, and beef fat fries - yes, you read that right - were all amazing!! Will definitely be back to pick up some food to take home!!
This place is a gem. A real butcher with excellent options. We want to try everything in the case. The atmosphere is very cool and food was so good. We bought a lot and will definitely be back for more.
