Night has long since cloaked the apartment as you stagger home, rumpled clothes smelling of stale beer and cigarettes. When morning breaks you miss it, still snoring until noon when the searing midday sun cracks into those lids. At this point, nothing else except the greasy, delicious fare of China Panda, just a phone call and guilty shuffle to the door away. Sesame mock chicken, steamed dumplings, three mushroom soup, and crab rangoon taste better eaten in bed on a Friends Netflix binge.
My go-to Chinese place. The steamed and healthier options with Hunan sauce is delicious AND nutritious. House specialty fried rice is yummy. The mu shu is another favorite.
Best dumplings in town. The food is always so good, I don't understand why they don't expand it into a sit down restaurant or have a food cart downtown for lunch. I know panda garden is owned by the same family, but it's not the same. Everything at the panda garden location is usually dried out, soggy and or cold. So this place is allot better.
My wife and I got the vegetable lo mein and the mock orange chicken. Both were very tasty. The mock orange chicken was AMAZING. It was crispy, hot (temperature-wise), and sweet. It was actually so sweet that my we both commented that it tasted like a dessert. I definitely recommend eating it with the white rice that comes with it to balance out the syrupy sweetness. The broccoli tasted really fresh too. We’ll definitely be back to try more mock chicken dishes! Their vegetarian menu is huge!
There are some reviews mentioning bad service. I will say the woman who took my order on the phone and gave us our food at the restaurant was pretty short with me. I did kind of get the sense that we were annoying her by ordering at her restaurant. It didn’t bother me too much since we were getting takeout anyways, and honestly the food was good enough that I’d endure the poor service again.
This is my favorite Chinese takeout restaurant in Richmond! I absolutely love their vegetarian menu, it is quite extensive and the flavors for everything that we have ordered are exquisite. I don’t especially love their veg mock Mongolian beef and mock hot and spicy beef! You don’t typically see these types of dishes available for vegetarians at most chinese restaurants and I am really grateful for the bounty of options. Also, you can’t go wrong with a cup of their hot and sour soup, so comforting and flavors are well-balanced.
I don’t ever leave a review. However, after eating multiple bites of my food and thinking about how seriously good it is, I couldn’t not. I got C25, the flavor and quality is ridiculously good
It feels like a well kept secret. The lady complimented my shirt that was in Korean and encouraging me to continue learning. The dumplings were absolutely to die for. I meant to grab more before I left Richmond but I forgot. I don't remember what else I got but I remember being happy and satisfied!
Ordered takeout for dinner last night and highly recommend! I really don’t understand the negative comments about the service here. I found the staff extremely efficient—I placed my order over the phone in seconds and picked it up 10 minutes later. Portions were big, prices affordable, and everything was delicious. Looking forward to coming back to try the lunch specials!
Really great food for the price! The lunch special is an especially good deal, and all of the sides and appetizers were delicious and fairly priced as well. I was surprised by how large the portions were for the lunch special as specials like these at comparable takeout places tend to be heavy on the rice and light on the proteins, veggies and sauce. The scallion pancakes were especially a hit. The free delivery was an unexpected surprise that we also appreciated. The gal on the phone was a bit abrasive, but it wouldn’t deter us from ordering again in a heartbeat.

Also I don't recommend the crispy eggplant it is basically just hushpuppies/doughnuts trust me.
They're not bad though overall, the twice cooked pork is my boyfriend's favorite, we also like the scallion pancakes! Decent lunch specials overall.
I always get take out from here. The owners are so friendly. Because yesterday was mid autumn festival they treated me exceptionally well I highly recommend this restaurant.
Ordered a big meal this weekend, everything was amazing. Of the Chinese food available in Richmond, the one that is most authentic to my childhood.
One of my best Chinese food experiences. I could see why this restaurant is getting negative reviews due to service. The cashier and hire helped didnt go out of their way to make us nor other visitors feel welcome.
