Great home cooking. Small, warm, and intimate restaurant. friendly service paired with the good food is always a good recipe for a great restaurant.
Good food. Great service and conversation with the owner. Class act! Food was pretty good. Tried the meatloaf. Well seasoned. Good portion. The Mac and cheese was SOO good. The little cheese crusts from the side of the pan is what I look for. Had plenty!!! Yams and cornbread were alright. Nothing to write home about. But his service was A-1. For that I’ll definitely come back again and try something different. And the prices were really fair for the portion and what I ordered.
The food was very good. The only concern was they dont do dine in services so we sat outside at a table. the owner was very hospitable and came out and talked to us. Nice Soul food at a decent price 👊
We happened across this gem on a recent day trip to Richmond. Harold took our order and made our food to perfection. We had fried chicken, fish, burger, Mac and cheese, candied yams and corn bread. We will definitely be back. Thanks Harold!!!
That food was GREAT! The chicken wings are the best! Nothing compared to other shops who give you fat broken bone wings. Theirs was so good you can eat the meat off in one bite! Waffles were soft and sweet. I love the salt fish very different and the home fries just like some good ole food you get from ya Granny. Delicious and I do recommend!

Great food and fun atmosphere. Great hole in the wall kinda place. I had the friend whiting with Mac and cheese and cornbread. It was the best cornbread I have ever had and I've eaten alot of cornbread.
Great lunch! Had the meatloaf with potatoes and beans. Meatloaf was great - had a little zing to it, but not too much. Very friendly owner, had a pleasant chat by my picnic table on an oddly warm winter day. Thanks!
I would give five stars... But at the moment, you can only pick up your food. It is located in the heart of Richmond in an awesome location on the Southside. ... The FOOD, though... The Food is not food, it is an experience in and of itself. This place knows how to cook. And, if you want to have a Real Meal, you need to check this place out. But, you will need to order ahead of time and pick up only
