My son loves this place and asked if we could stop and grab a bite. Wasn't very busy while there. Staff was very friendly and sat us pretty quick. They have a large selection of pints.. beers to choose from. We ordered a Italian pizza pie and one with bacon and mushrooms. We ordered our food at 1pm and around 1:30 I asked our waitress when our food was going to be up. She said any minute now My son and I had to be at our daughters cheerleading competition at 2pm. After about another 10 minutes I ended up telling the waitress that we would just take it to go. I stood around the bar waiting for the pizzas, I wasn't in anyone's way because they were barely any people in the place. When I ended up getting the pizzas I rush to my car and my son and I were off. Over 40 minutes waiting for two pizzas is extremely ridiculous. Not quite sure how they make their pizz or if that is normal. It really pissed me off and if I had written this review that day I would have given them a one-star but giving it a week or so and cooling down I was able to be more rational. Now the pizzas are pretty much all specialty type of pizzas. My son absolutely loves the Italian pizza and said that he and my wife have gotten it several times. Crust to me is the main key to pizzas I like mine to be pretty crispy and not too thick and their crust was actually pretty good. It seems like it's fire baked and had a little bit of that chard do taste do it. The Italian pizza had a little bit too much Italian dressing case to it for me but it wasn't bad. The bacon and mushroom pizza, I didn't care for their red sauce that much again it wasn't bad just wasn't great. They use large chunks of cut up thick bacon and the mushrooms were pretty tasty. I would go back and give them another try being a pizza there so many variations I'm sure I could find something I would like better to my liking, just going to give myself enough time I can actually eat there.

We were walking down Broad from Scott's Addition back to our hotel and decided to Pop in for a snack and a pint. Both the food and drinks did not disappoint. Great choices and the margherita pie and the pizza skins were awesome. We will definitely visit again.

Pies and Pints is a favorite of mine. They have a few throughout the US, I was first introduced while living in Ohio. This location was very calm for a Saturday, although it was about 4:00pm when we sat down to eat. We ordered the date night special (small) which has bacon, fig spread, goat cheese, dates, and hot honey. I would rate that specific pizza a 5-6/10, as it was very sweet, if you’re looking for a savory pizza I would steer clear of this one. They also don’t let you do half and half with this pizza because they said it melts into the other side of the pizza. We also ordered the Gouda chicken, my personal favorite, with Gouda, red onion, chicken, bacon, and chipotle drizzle... would highly recommend this pizza I get it every time I come. Finally, we got the steak and mushroom which was also delicious, with steak, mushroom, onion, blue cheese, and horseradish drizzle. My favorite aspect of this pizza joint is they allow for you to do half and half on any large pizza. If you’re in town, I would recommend checking out Pies and Pints, this location is very clean and wait staff is very courteous. The only negative currently is having to eat on paper plates, plastic silverware, plastic cups, and have to eat out of pizza boxes even when you dine in.

For everyone seeking an alternative pizza flavor profile away from the traditional red sauce varieties!! My friend and I dipped in here today right after the lunch rush so we enjoyed a really peaceful atmosphere. Tino, I believe his name was(my bad if I messed that up my man!)was a very energetic and fun person assisting us in or dining experience. We split a large pizza: 1/2 Chipotle Chicken, 1/2 Street Corn and it was pretty freaking awesome! I'll admit provolone doesn't grab my attention as much as I would like for pizzas, but I respect that decision due to the abundance of other robust flavors that need to pair with it, and Pies & Pints pulled it off very well! I look forward to trying the Thai option next!

We were in the area and wanted to grab a quick bite! The on tap root beer was fantastic, and the garlic bread was so tasty! We received excellent service coming here and were highly impressed with this place! Thank you!

I don't know if I ordered the wrong thing but I had the pizza with no red sauce, ( I don't remember ordering that pie, I know it exists). I tried it anyway and it was good. crust is super thin but bends beautifully. Portion size is underwhelming but enough for 1 person. cheese is good but under cheesed too. server was nice! Overall OK.

Good food and a wide selection of beer. Lots of Virginia beers. Pizza is brick oven style. Toppings are fresh and flavorful, crust is medium thin. It is one of those pies that you clearly taste the toppings. Highly recommended.

Been here a few times. The pizza is amazing! We got a half chicken pesto pizza/half white pizza with sausage. We got seated really quickly and the service was great. They also have a great drink menu with local beers/ciders from Richmond. Highly recommend!
