Incredible staff, exceptional ever-changing menu and just an all around awesome place to visit! Chef Craig is our longtime most favorite chef going back about ten years! The cuisine he and his folks create is incredible!Brunch is the best in town! Highly recommend anyone visiting whenever and as often as they can!

This is my new favorite restaurant. The most flavorful food I've put in my mouth ever! The cocktails are great and the daily specials blew me away. My new favorite neighborhood spot. Yummy!

Loved it! Great music, nice layout of seating, nice central bar, outdoor patio seating if desired (facing traffic). Torrey was my server and he was excellent, attentive but not overbearing. Pleasant but conversant. The nachos served as an appetizer was enough to make a meal. The pork was so tender...not stringy or dry at all. I had half boxed to take home. The Sangiovese I ordered went well with the pork but not recommended with the pasta. The Cassarecce pasta with shrimp was excellent. Not often a fan of a white sauce, this one had a delectable combination of fennel, chive, and pickled mustard seed. I asked for the trout roe to be left out. Finally, dessert. How could I not order the Chocolate Bourbon Tiramisu? This was heaven (and a strong glucose exploder!). Thank you, Oliver, for the delicious dessert! By the time I left, I felt really good. Plenty of parking in this strip shopping mall. Food is top notch. Service is top notch. (5-6 p.m. review)

Smash hit! Southbound blew me away with the simplest dish of wings, fries and a beer. Very unique taste, brilliant presentation and my new favorite restaurant in the area. Service was perfect. Great place, must check it out.

Booked the restaurant for a private holiday party and it was fantastic! Brianna worked with me to put together a menu and logistics and was incredibly easy to work with. Everyone was so helpful and friendly. The food was amazing and our guests had a great time. Would highly recommend using them for private events. They also have a smaller room for meetings and smaller corporate gatherings that we plan on using in the future for client meetings.

Rabbit Rillette with pickled onions for appetizer was awesome!Chilled curried corn soup was delicious along with the fried catfish and soft shell crabs. The hazelnut cake with blueberry sauce was good but not my favorite. Outdoor patio was very inviting and much quieter than dining inside. Excellent quality dining experience and highly recommend.

Southbound is definitely unique. The menu is seasonal and creative but not enough options. My daughter and I had a hard time finding what we want for dinner. I am giving a four stars for the menu lack of selections, entrees are very expensive but not memorable. They do offer a good selection of wine and mix drinks. Service was great.

I wish the entree was as good as the appetizers. The rolls was soft like butter rolls with a hint of pretzel taste. The honey butter was incredible. Nachos was good, the pork tasty. The pimento cheese with the pickled onions was delicious. Unfortunately the entrees we lacking in flavor. Duck was dry and chewy, the pasta had a watery sauce and just bland. The waiters were great.

Wow!! Everything was 5 star!! Reserved online for a party of 7. The table was ready when we arrived. Service was fantastic. Menu was well labeled for vegetarian options and things that could be adapted into vegetarian. We'll definitely be back!

Me and a friend came here over firebird gril and because latitude in stony point said they had a 2 he wait for 2 people lol. The ambiance is simple yet romantic (low lighting and smooth music) loved the Peninsula bar and yellow lights. We were glad to not have the server run to us as soon as we sat down because it allowed us time to look at the menu u and the drink options. I ordered the Faerie Blossom and my friend had the Speak no evil. Both delicious mine was refreshing and his was smooth like a Pina colada. Next I ordered the fried catfish and added a crab cake and he had the homemade rigatoni and added the burrata. Both were good; mine need seasoning (salt and pepper) but the hot butter sauce was a great sauce. His paired great together but the noodles were undercooked . We def recommend coming here and was very surprised it wasn’t packed.

Me and my sister went there for Valentine where they had a selective menu their choices were good but could have been better the the shrimp salad was delicious the crab cakes were a little burnt and pair with coleslaw and potato salad I have sensitive teeth so pairing cold and hot bothers me so I only ate the crab cakes the desert choices could have been better I didn't like any of them but I chose the tiramisu I didn't eat it. My sister had the lobster bisque she didn't like the croutons it was too hard and she also got the salmon with brussel sprouts which was a little burnt she didn't like the taste of it but the salmon was good she chose a chocolate dessert that she did not eat

Our server was one of the best we've ever had. I never got his name unfortunately, but thank you to the server with the mullet and glasses. The curry cauliflower 'steak' and ahi tuna were perfect appetizers. For entrees, my boyfriend got the hangar steak and I got the mushroom pasta with a crabcake. The steak and crabcake were amazing but my bowl of mushroom pasta was really bland with some of the mushrooms in it still being a bit hard. It was great quality in-house made gemelli pasta but it seemed it was only tossed in a bit of olive oil and chili flakes without any other seasoning. I think a little bit of lemon or even just some salt could have made the pasta worth trying again. My boyfriend also got the tiramisu which had a brulee'd sugar topping instead of cocoa powder which he really enjoyed and I got a glass of rainwater madeira. We will definitely be back.
