Coppola's Delicatessen--carytown

If you are craving a cold cut or a warm sandwich, this is the place for you! One of the best Italian deli’s we have been to. Sandwiches are deliciously amazing and big portions. They make them all to order and the service is great as well. We had a meatball sub (which my son proclaims is the best meatball sub ever), the industrial, and the turkey club lunch box that came with pesto pasta and a cookie. I would go back any day.

Was recommended The Industrial sandwich and it did not disappoint. As someone who grew up in RI with ‘grinder’ shops everywhere toting the best ‘Italian Style’ sandwich… I was so thankful to find this place. No shredded ice berg lettuce but nice dark leafy lettuce with actual nutritional value! Small tomatoes instead of those tasteless beefsteak tomatoes that are so often thrown on sandwiches and plucked off. Bread was soft with a nice chew… soaked up the vinegar from the sweet and hot peppers nicely. I’m so impressed and thankful for these small substitutions and the thought put in to the food. Just finished my sandwich and already thinking when I can come back for another!

Neat little deli with authentic, handmade sandwiches and other Italian cuisine. Staff was very friendly and went out of their way to make sure our order was made to our satisfaction. We ate our sandwiches inside with limited tables, but for good weather they have some additional outdoor seating. Coppola's has built a strong following in the Carytown area and beyond....and as you can see from the attached photo ...they have been doing it successfully since 1982....a must stop while in Richmond VA.

Never in my life have I been to a place like Coppolas. Let me tell you, there is not another place in the world like it. It’s an amazing fantastic deli right in the middle of Carrytown. They have everything from amazingly savory pasty to the best sandwiches you have ever had in your life to beautifully made cannolis. My goodness they really have it all. They have by far the best sandwiches in the world, my favorite by far is the industrial, it melts in your mouth. I’m drooling thinking about it. I can’t recommend Coopolas enough it is a must stop no matter if you have been going there everyday for the last 20 years or you are just passing through. By far my favorite restaurant of all time!

First thing - great customer service A+. They have gluten-free options. I ordered a turkey pastrami on gluten-free bread and some potatoe salad...delicious. Took boyfriend a to-go Mushroom Cheesesteak, he found it very tasty. By the way I am from Philly so he knows a good Cheesesteak. Dine in, they bring the food to your table. I was also impressed with the wine a dessert selection. Will definitely be back. Thank you.

Best deli! You can get a delicious salad, antipasto, and any type of authentic sandwich! They have so much to offer. The staff and service is always attentive, pleasant and quick. This is a great pop in mid day and have a sandwich at the window bar with a peroni beer type spot! I highly recommend this establishment. You won't be disappointed. Their cheese steaks are wickedly delicious btw.

Been going here since high school and this place is still going strong and just as good as the first time! Amazing service and people! Since I’ve moved away from Richmond, I always try to stop on in when I am in town visiting friends and family. I took a friend from Roanoke to eat here and he said it was incredible! Love this place!
