Sugar Shack is hands down the best doughnut shop around. The staff are always incredibly friendly and helpful and the vibe of the place is always great. Their samoas are the best, especially when it's not Girl Scout season! Thanks for all you do Sugar Shack (and for expanding to my hometown at VA Beach!).
My first Sugar Shack donut was in June when I came to Stafford, Va. for my grandson's high school graduation. I had the salted caramel. I was not able to get that delicious donut out of my head. When I returned in November for my daughter's OCS graduation at Quantico. my first stop was Sugar Shack. Yes, I had the salted caramel (2 exactly) and was in heaven all over again. Since then, I have done all kind of research to obtain franchise information. I would love to introduce Atlanta to Sugar Shack. When I tell you Sugar Shack makes donuts to dream about, believe me, and I'm willing to put my money where my mouth is, that is, if there is room after the salted caramel.
I’m giving Sugar Shack 5 stars because their Samoa is the best f**king donut I’ve ever had in my life. The customer service is okay, however, I feel nowadays all food service spots are struggling. It’s not the same as when I was in food service. Patience is key. Saving my Boston Cream for tomorrow’s snow day.
Fun, little doughnut and burger place. We ended getting a couple of doughnuts for breakfast, but would definitely come back to try more. The doughnuts were great, and the prices were really good too. If I had to improve one thing, I would say I wish there was somewhere inside or outside to sit, so that you don't have to eat in the car or find somewhere else to go.
The donuts and coffee are delicious and the service is wonderful, but what I really find amazing are the custom donuts Maggie and her team create! 12-18" delicious masterpieces or even a custom themed dozen, YUM!
I can't say enough about how good these donuts were!!! Wow wow wow these were delicious and near perfect. I would recommend the fruity pebbles or the pretzel topped donut!!
There is a very large selection of vegan donuts. They are great quality too and I love the uniqueness of the different flavors.

If you're looking for "fun" donuts its probably the spot to go to in Richmond. Personally this their are better traditional donut spots but they have a good variety of odd and specialty donuts. Get there early for the best selection. Went around 10:30 on Sunday and the selection was limited.
Sugar Shack has some of the best donuts around, vegan or otherwise! I’d highly recommend the cinnamon bun for a vegan option and then the cronut/cake donuts for those who don’t have dietary restrictions.
My only small negative is that although the staff is all incredibly friendly and does a great job, I don’t think they’re optimized to get customers quickly in and out of the shop. If someone orders a drink, there’s been times the line is halted for a few minutes while the only person front of house makes it. Also I always need to wait in line for my pick up order and they usually end up packing it then (which feels like it defeats the purpose). But if you have an extra ~10 minutes to hang around for fantastic donuts, this is the place!
