Excellent lunch spot in downtown Richmond. Enjoyed the Philly cheese steak which was a large portion. Historical building with great decor. Service was quick.

I thoroughly enjoyed this restaurant. The staff is very courteous. The food was very delicious, and the portion sizes were perfect. I had the shrimp poboy with fries. Also, the decor is very beautiful.

We want to thank Payton and everyone at Sandy McGee’s for their amazing hospitality!! The ambiance , setting and overall aura made us feel as though we were in a dream. From the place settings, to the napkins and everything in between, we cannot be more thankful and grateful that our wedding dinner took place at Sandy McGee’s.

Spectacular
Wife and I wanted to have hamburger for dinner tonight; decided to give a try to Sandy McGee’s: one of the best burgers I know in my area. Also cocktails were “buenísimos”: Margarita and Old Fashioned super good

First, I met Sandy herself and when I say the madams customer service is superb, yes over the top. I ordered the City Secretary -Max out-broc bowl -fruit..... When I say this ordinary dish is Far from ordinary; it will run circles around any restaurant that sales sandwiches and soup. Atmosphere reminds of a country old school diner. I love it and I know y'all would love it. Even though I have eaten most of my food I have a picture to share.

Food was very good, but expensive. The basket of bread we had was salty. A slice of German chocolate cake was $10!

Quaint old-time atmosphere. Could use a little updating but still nice for something different. Good and practical items on the menu with favorable pricing. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the Richmond, TX area.

I’ve been coming here since I was a teenager, but I haven’t been in years. It’s hasn’t changed - still wonderful! You walk into the door on the right and then order at the counter. Once you order, they give you and assigned table and a basket of the most amazing crunchy bread rounds. It all came back to me when I ordered the city secretary and the broccoli cheese soup was as good as I remembered. The fruit was fresh and sweet. The sandwich was a little plainer than I remembered (no avocado now), but it was still delicious. The dining room was divided into smaller rooms, and we sat in the back room. It was cozy, and our food came out just as we finished our bread!

What a gem!
When you walk in you place your order and walk to your table. Drinks are self served.
Very quiet atmosphere even on a busy day. Food was flavorful and unique. Great portions will leave you full! Definitely saw more items I will have to return to try out.

First time here. The chicken salad sandwich was really good. It was really big. I ate half and took the other half home. My boyfriend ordered a poboy with a side of broccoli cheese soup. He also didn’t finish it and took half home. The spinach artichoke dip was really good. I loved the croutons they give you.
