Solid Southern food with generous portions - convenient breakfast option for hotel guests.
The Stateview gives Bonvoy Platinum guests breakfast vouchers. The vouchers include warm entree items with generous portions - such an egg white omelets, breakfast plates, and pancakes (see pictures). The restaurant service is very friendly but can be slammed at busy times (morning rush or in the evenings during a convention).
Great service and food. Menu has limited choices but all have great ingredients to make it hard to choose. I selected the burger which was cooked to order and had an amazing jam on it that added sweetness. Thick patty and very fresh bun. Fries were fantastic! Neighbor had fish tacos that looked amazing.
The breakfast here is dynamite.
I had low expectations - the restaurant was completely empty at 10:30am. They’re also not offering room service or lunch right now. I thought maybe they’re cutting costs. Wrong!
I had a chicken and waffle and coffee. The chicken was very good and seemed to be freshly cooked to order. The waffle was exceptional. And I love waffles.
If you are staying at the hotel definitely try it out.
I have been coming here since the hotel first opened. I love the convenience of the restaurant. The food in general is good, not over the top amazing but solid good.
I do notice there is a lot of garlic and pickled onions on dishes. Personally I love them especially the pickled onion which adds such a nice pop on the breakfast egg ( red and white). The garlicky flavor is not my fav on the rice/pico in the roasted chicken dish. Did make me vampire resistant tonight after the dinner. Ha!
Happy eating.
I love the choice of steak and egg in the morning! The price is fine to afford and you can start a great day with the nice staff here and the great taste of the food!
Nice place.
Here for dinner, a limited menu but I was hoping that it meant they were really good at what they did make. Well I wasn't disappointed, Sweet&spicy chicken sandwich had great flavor and a great crisp to it and the side of mac & cheese was creamy with the right thickness of cheese sauce.
My wife and I had breakfast here, and it was by far the best part of our stay. I ordered the pancakes, and even though there was nothing fancy or unique about them, they were probably among the top ten best pancakes I've ever had. The coffee was very good too. We probably won't spend the night here again, but we might come back just for breakfast.
Food was good. I had a cheddar burger that was cooked to medium like I requested. The steak fries that came with the burger were also good. Everything was hot and fresh. But what was really outstanding was the service by the bartender Jayona(I got the name off the check so I hope it is correct.) She saw I was uncomfortable where I was sitting and offered to move me further away from the bar into what they call the "library", a business center with comfy couches. She made her job more difficult in order to accommodate me. She also brought over a damp napkin to get all the burger juice of my hands. Excellent service.
A little pricey but very good. Menu ranges from a burger to shrimp and grits or steak. Full bar including nice cocktails like mules and rotating taps with some beers brewed right here at state. There is a cappuccino machine and some flavorings behind the bar so they do coffee drinks as well.
I got the wolf pack burger rare with a side salad, both surprised me. The quality of ingredients is super important when it comes to rare beef and the texture was just butter. Even the salad was really nice with chunks of blue cheese put on top of the dressing. I initially planned on four stars due to price but the food definitely meets expectations for this price, a definite surprise for a hotel restaurant.
The decor is modern and clean, the porch in back has lots of space and a nice view of the forested side of centennial campus. This place has been a very pleasant surprise.
wow. just wow. I'm only here for 3 days of school and this is the hotel that the school was booked for. I decided to stay in and eat here with a friend for dinner and I'm just speechless. I got the brussel sprouts and my friend got the shrimp as our "Savory" starters and then got the salmon and chicken pesto pasta as our entrees. the glaze on the brussel sprouts was delicious. the shrimp had the perfect level of spice where you could enjoy the heat, yet still realize it was shrimp. entrees were delicious as well. our server talked to us about how she adds her own little spice to the food (mixture of ghost reaper pepper powder and thai chili powder) and brought it out to us to try on our own food and wow it just took it another level. topped it off with a slice of the most AMAZING strawberry cheesecake I have ever had and all I have to say is I'm about to sleep like a baby. thank you Vonny for being such an amazing server and thank you to the chefs for making some of the most delicious food I have ever experienced in my life.
