Don’t understand the bad reviews here. My boyfriend and I have been here twice and both love it. #1, if you’re worried you can’t understand the person serving you, THEN DONT EAT AT A CHINESE RESTAURANT. Sesame chicken is very good and the people have always been nice.
Come here for the first time, just moved here from overseas. The Hunan Pork is really good, make that with an egg roll and you have a nice lunch. The price is reasonable compared to other Chinese restaurants around the area. A very traditional American Chinese restaurant. Happy to find a spot where I can enjoy Chinese food.
I’m not sure why this place has bad reviews. I’ve always had hot and fresh food. My wife and I order here about once every other week because it’s always perfect! We even have a special order and ask for it and they never let us down! The people that run the place are always very nice and do their best to understand. I love this place.
I found about his place because they left a menu at my door. I understand what the men said, and most importantly the food is great! You should check them out.
China Pearl is an awesome American-style Chinese restaurant! The service is top-notch, and the staff always makes you feel welcome. Their sesame chicken is to die for! It's perfectly crispy and the sesame glaze is incredibly flavorful. I highly recommend giving it a try!
for your standard cheaper Chinese Food place, this place was good. soup was a bit salty but was still delicious and they didnt skimp on the wontons. general tso's chicken was crispy and delicious with just a bit of spice how we specified, lo mein was tasty and had plenty of veggies, and the spring roll was quite possibly the best I've had at a place like this. and the portion size was great for the price, I'm stuffed and still have more left over. and the guy at the register was really nice :) my first card didnt work and he was super understanding and greeted me the moment I came in. overall a nice experience.
Been ordering from here for years! Food is always great, and the staff is always pleasant. Delivery is typically quick, but they occasionally get backed up. They never mess up my husband's special requests. This is a normal, low cost, fast food Chinese restaurant. I don't get the negative reviews. People expecting too much maybe? Give them a try. They haven't disappointed us.
I cannot express how much I love the sesame chicken combo with fried rice. The dumplings are also phenomenal and it’s a great deal for the price!
I ordered pepper steak and hot and spicy chicken tonight. I did have to wait an hour and 45 minutes. But during this time, I'm sure there are a lot of people ordering delivery. I called and they were respectful and said my food was on the way. Thunderstorm was moving in, poor guy beeped the horn and ran across the yard to give me the food. Food was hot and very delicious. Felt bad the guy had to get soaked delivering my food.
I’m dumbfounded. This actually is pretty good for carry out Chinese—especially for the price. This is my first time eating here, but I would genuinely conjecture that it’s actually better than most carry-out Chinese in the RDU area. Sure, it’s not $50 a plate service; but for heaven’s sake it’s bloody carry out Chinese from a family-run business.
And on top of all that, they seem like genuinely wonderful people. And even for carry out, that matters a great deal. I can’t speak on the delivery service as we opted to go and pick it up, but the total time from order to back inside my door was well under 20 minutes. That’s including a modification we added literally last minute (as we walked in the door).
I believe what you are seeing here in these reviews is a bad case of everyone-wants-to-be-a-food-critic syndrome. A really bad one. For once, I’m unbearably glad that I didn’t check the reviews first, because this was quite a good find.
