Went there last night for the first time with a group of friends and was definitely shocked to finally have a great gay bar, great service, great bar tinder. I love that it’s a mix of people from all walks of life. Work is really going in the right direction definitely since it so many straight bars and clubs. Only thing I can say Bad is wish the music was more mix and not so techno.
Don’t be turned off by the one star reviews, they were months ago and for the old place called the “Tavern.” A straight pub I believe. The location is entirely different now with a new owner and such. Fun welcoming, but intense and radiant atmosphere is how I would describe the place. I would recommend it.
Kenny (the GM) and the entire staff as Capital City went out of their way to accommodate myself and my party. I am in a wheelchair and this was a busy Saturday night they helped us to a table and treated us so kindly even with a big, fun crowd on hand!! This place has superior customer service and really understands that all people are just trying to have a good, safe time!! Will definetly be back sometime soon!!
I went for a birthday party. Very nice space for a small party of about 30-40 ppl. Not sure of the food they serve because the party was catered. I ordered a Long Island and it was good. $10 Sorry no pictures!
This places description baffles me.
Roomy, patio, etc.
There's no patio, that I've seen there's sidewalk seating.
It's very, very crowded.
The drinks are ok, and prices are alright.
Servers are always rude.
Great ambiance, but all the bouncers have their hair tied up in little man buns, which is kinda weird. They also call each other "bro" and drink Red Bull. The drinks are good.
Glad to see that Raleigh has a new gay venue. One that is not twinky oriented and has better service from the staff and takes debit/credit cards unlike other gay bars in Raleigh.
