One of the best burgers Iβve had in NC. Very unassuming and delicious sandwich, perfect fries and service. The sweet smell of seasoned meat being grilled in charcoal will make you drool while you wait. Hands down a perfect burger.
great old school burger joint. walk up and fill out a little paper order form to order and take it to-go or there is some outdoor seating. i bet you could bring your dog here. I might try some time w my dog πΆπ
cheeseburger was a little small but really good. fries were hot and crispy. cool vibe, so old school and classic. they call out your name over this old speaker that crackles and it looks like the building is pretty old w the unique design.
Food was decent for a quick burger but it didn't feel any special for me to have spent $22 on two burgers and fries. Also if this is your first time going notice you'll have to fill out a slip to order and slide it through the window. Don't forget to put your name on it
Char-Grill is unique but a place that serves fabulous burgers and sandwiches to go. Meals are ordered by filling out a slip, then slide it through the window to be made fresh and ready to go. There is always a line when i have visited. My wife and i ordered Cheese burgers and fries...she got extra onions, and i could not resist getting my favorite Apple Pie. Customers await outside to grab and go. You can watch your meal being made externally. Make no excuses, this place gets my top rating, 4 pins ππππ. You can't go wrong with Char Grill! This Raleigh institution is always busy no matter the time of day because it is the definition of good, fast, and cheap. The employees push out orders quickly and efficiently and everything always tastes amazing.
If you've never been, you place your order by writing what you want on a little pad near the menu board. I recommend the hamburger steak sandwich with fries and cheerwine. Once you've got your order figured out, write your name on the paper and stuff it down the chute. They will call your name when it is ready.
Love their fresh burgers cooked straight off the grill infront of you. Food is good hot and fresh. Go every Friday for lunch with wife.

This reminds me of an old drive-in without the drive-in. Char-Grill is about as old school as it can get with placing your order on paper slip and standing outside waiting for your food. There is no inside dining at this location. A few picnic tables outside. The food is really good for burgers and fries and dogs and it's kind of a cool little place.
