Goodberry’s Frozen Custard is pretty much a Raleigh staple at this point in time! This place is excellent, and if you’re in a soft-serve ice cream dessert sort of mood, look no further than any of the Goodberry’s locations scattered across Raleigh, Durham, Cary, and beyond. They have tons of different flavors of frozen custard, and they call it concrete - it actually looks like a concrete truck spewing out cement when it’s coming out of the machine! Neat! But yeah, it’s conveniently located in the same parking lot as the Harris Teeter and other stores in a big shopping plaza so there’s no issue with parking. Prices are reasonable and I love the whole decor of the place - it’s like you stepped back in time to the 50s to get some classic soft and creamy frozen custard! I would go to this place many times if I lived closer - I know I’ll definitely be coming back next time I’m in the area!

Very popular place. Ok staff. I got the marshmallow shake with vanilla custard. They have many options and varieties of ice cream and toppings to choose from. It was very tasty. Nice atmosphere and outside seating area. It has a cute little wishing fountain in the middle. Nice place

Fast, friendly service and wonderful custard!
Great service & flavors. Cost is higher than other treats, but they are not as tasty. Went on Sunday 8pm & waited 35 minutes to place my order. I've been many other times and never had such a line. Also, first day of school may have affected staffing (only 3 behind the glass), vs 5-6 normally there.
5/21/22 update: still 5-10 minute wait at 8:30pm on a Saturday, but it's worth it.
My favorite to get is the vanilla concrete with Oreo. Tastes like an Oreo cookie! Can be busy at times, but generally quick. Seating is only outdoor, but for quick serve custard that is ok. Rotating flavor can sometimes be great, but usually something I wouldn’t order.
Walk up counter is quaint and convenient. Custard is TO DIE FOR. You won’t regret this amazing treat.
Yum. Fresh. Fast. A Raleigh GoTo! My husband will stand in line for me to get my Goodberry's fix. The Strickland location is well managed and friendly. It's a great place to bring kids and dogs! Beautiful maple trees line the edges of the patio and the lights make it cool to hang out! Enjoy!
This place has great custard, creamy and not as sugar heavy as some other places I have been to. The daily flavors I have had are so good and if you aren't into the daily flavor get a concrete mixer with toppings you like. They are always busy so try hitting it between lunch and dinner if the long lines bother you. People who have served me here have always been super nice.
Great ice cream! I brought my family up there to try Goodberry's and we loved the ice cream! We also appreciate the overhang at the counter as it was a cold, rainy night. I think my 3 year old said "this ice cream is delicious" at least a few times as she devoured her mint chocolate chip ice cream!
Staff is friendly. We had a perfect day to sit outside the car and eat at the tables. Hot dog combo is a good value.
