Cons:
- no table service. You order on pads, you pick up, you clean yourself (zero issue, actually saves the business money)
- mood/hospitality (its about the food, not to make you happy. I get it)
- expensive ($50 for 2 kids and a toddler)
Overall I was eating with my hands. Very pleased with how well it was done. Will definitely return.
It's been a few years since my last visit, but now I remember why this used to be THE SPOT. To start, the horchata is AMAZING and freshly made. The corn is super buttery and delicious. We enjoyed everything we ordered, but what we enjoyed most were the sauces!!! Sorry, alpaca, but we found a new favorite.
Mami's has become a go-to meal for our family for years now, it's a crowd pleaser because everyone loves it. The rotisserie chicken is consistently perfect, we usually get black beans, rice and maduros as sides. The spicy green and tangy yellow sauces are a must.
It’s been over five years since I’ve eaten at this Mami’s and somehow it’s just as good as the first time I went over 15 years ago. For a restaurant to maintain such consistent quality over such a long period of time says a lot. Seriously some of the most tender and flavorful chicken you will ever eat, and don’t get me started on the yellow sauce and green sauce! And the Black beans!! You can’t go wrong, I’ll keep coming back as long as they keep spinning chicken.
Good food, better than alpaca, similar menu .. excellent service and cut services.. the place need more attention but looks good . My lomo salteado was great the chicken rostisseire could be better. Congratulations
First, the chicken is amazing! The cook it over charcoal in a rotisserie. It's juicy and delicious! All of the sides are good as well. Pretty sure it's the same family as alpacca if your a fan of that place. Oh the have daily specials as well, things like "chop chop" and nachos. They also have these great homemade sauces. I like to dip in both of them. Enjoy!
I’ve been coming here (and taking friends) for almost 10 years. We came today while in town and it tasted just as good as ever. Wonderful rotisserie chicken, maduros, rice & flavorful chicha morada. They were the trendsetters for other local chains like Alpaca (which we also love) and 10/10 recommend.
Fabulous flavored food, rotisserie chicken, yucca, sweet fried plantain, spicy sauce and guascaina sauce are delicious, they do carry other great plates like the rice and salads. The place is a bit old not appealing to the eye, however the service and flavors do make up for the appearance of the place.
Amazingly good food. The tenderness and flavor of the rotisserie chicken is on point. The corn tortilla’s were amazing.
The Peruvian chicken is delicious!! If you like, LOVE, spicy like I do, the green sauce is GREAT!! My only complaint is it closes early, 8pm.
