Thai Esaan

After coming here based on the recommendation I can honestly say I would not return. We ordered both green and red curry, both were extremely watered down and had almost no chicken in either of the orders. The meal cost $42 for two orders of curry and a papaya salad. At that price point watered down curry is far from acceptable especially when there is almost no protein in the dish, at all.

The food is simultaneously lighter and more flavorful than other thai restaurants. The crispy pork is like thai carnitas. It doesn't stay crispy the next day but it's still delicious. The papaya salad was good. The thai sausages had great authentic flavor. I will say that my favorites, pad thai and fresh spring rolls, were not what I was used to. So if your someone who gets pad thai every time, maybe try something different. Their pad thai is good but the fish sauce is very prominent.

We placed an order for delivery, which was estimated to be delivered in about 50 minutes. An hour and a half later we called and were told they were very busy and orders were taking an hour to make, when we pointed out that it had been over an hour they didn't really say anything. Another half an hour later we called back and were told the order was heading out soon. So over two hours after our order was placed our food arrived. It's okay to be busy, but give realistic time estimates and be nice about it. When we received our food there were two dishes missing that we had been charged for. I emailed the restaurant a couple days later to try to resolve this, still haven't heard back over a week later. We live in Portland -- there are better Thai restaurants to try, both in regards to service and food.

This place is fantastic! Great to have a local take out/delivery Thai place that hits the spot every time. My wife and I order from here on a more-or-less weekly basis and have never been disappointed. Ben, one of the owners and a veteran, delivers the food each time. It's pleasant to have a friendly hello and familiar smile along with a delicious meal. Definitely recommend this place if you haven't tried it yet!

Just discovered this place was down the street from me. I got the garlic chicken entree for takeout. The guy was easy and polite on the phone. Time estimate was spot on. When I came, the gentleman behind the counter was very friendly and I completed my transaction quickly. The food was VERY good! I asked for lots of heat and I got it. The vegetables were perfectly crispy and the juice was delectable. This is my new takeout spot!

Amazing dishes at great prices. Got the Pad Thai, Crab Rangoons and a soup, all of which were made with care. The service is fantastic, although it's better suited for take out than eat in (there are no restrooms either). However, despite these small facilities, the dishes are packed with flavor, serving size is HUGE (both dishes served as both lunch and dinner), and we were even offered free fried plantains from the owner. Highly recommended!

We ordered take out on Uber Eats at 6pm on a Saturday. Fairly simple order. It was to be delivered between 7:30 and 8pm. At 8:20, we got an email that the order was cancelled, no explanation. Just cancelled. It would have been nice to have heard back from them earlier, it didn't leave us much time to find something else. I know it's not the end of the world, but annoying.
