A great setting with wonderful food. The staff was amazing and attentive.
Sam C was our waitress and had a knack of being there when we needed something without hovering.
Had bacon wrapped scallops as our appetizer, that melted in your mouth. There were more than enough (8) for 2 people.
For dinner we had Pecan Encrusted Stuffed Haddock and Maple Glazed Salmon over risotto with cranberries and walnuts. She couldn't finish the salmon and I shouldn't have finished the haddock. It was too good to leave and couldn't take a doggie bag because we were riding a motorcycle.
The cost was more than reasonable for the amount of food and the quality.
Excellent. Liked the food. It’s in the higher price side BUT it’s worth the visit. Excellent food quality and service. Complimentary Vallet parking. If I am at Portland I am sure to visit the restaurant again. Highly recommend. Loved it!!
My daughter took me out to DiMillo's yesterday for my birthday. I've been coming here for years or at least whenever i lived in state. Having moved back over four years ago i've had the opportunity to come back several times and every time the service has been superb and the food excellent. The steamed mussels were tender and the lobster stew incredible.
Highly Recommend! We didn't have a reservation, but they got us in right away. The service was great and the food was amazing! We had clam chowder, french onion soup, lobster stew, bacon wrapped scallops, and salad to start. Mom opted for the lazy lobster, which she said was great. My brother and I both went for the deep fried lobster, and if you've never tried it you definitely need to! The views were nice too. Overall just an excellent dining experience!
Food was great, staff was incredibly pleasant and the view was remarkable. The music is a fantastic mix of older classic rock and the atmosphere is not overwhelming; nor loud or chaotic. The bar is incredibly clean with apx 30 seats; perfect for single folks traveling for work or leisure. I’ve traveled all over the country and for what this place has to offer, the prices are beyond reasonable. I’m an exceptionally picky woman and although the steak isn’t Japanese A5 Wagu (obviously) it’s well above par if you take into consideration the overall “experience” you’re getting!
DiMillo's exceeded our expectations in every way.
My goal was to overindulge in lobster and the "Lazy Lobster Admiral Portion" did exactly that. The best gravy for the mashed potatoes I've ever had.
My wife ordered the "Lobster Mac & Cheese" and its in a league of its own, total flavor bomb.
Iko our waiter made the experience unforgettable with his professionalism, knowledge of the menu and friendly demeanor.
We enjoyed everything about our experience and will dine here each time we are in the area.
Thank you for creating an ideal dining atmosphere and hiring top notch people to deliver unforgettable experiences.
I came here for dinner at 7:30 and got seated in less than half hour. We had bread for an appetizer and then got our drinks. It’s so cool in here and the tables are spaced out, and it feels so roomy. The restaurant was on a boat, it only rocked once or twice but not bad at all. I totally recommend!!
This is one of the places in downtown Portland that is in fact worth the hype. The long waits and buzz around this restaurant were surprisingly true. I am usually skeptical about places like this, as they rarely live up to the hype. However, this evening all aspects of dinner were great. Some of the dishes tried at my table were the clam chowder, fried lobster tails, prime rib, lobster roll, and the lobster mac and cheese (my personal favorite). The deserts were also good as we tried the blueberry cobbler. The staff was very friendly and attentive, and the boat was decorated very nicely as well. I look forward to returning in the future.
Big portions (and big prices). Experience was good, went during the end of April before the big tourist season really began. Had no issue finding a good table and not overly crowded at 5pm for a group of 5 for the main dining area.we ordered 2 salmon dishes, a salad, seafood platter and kids chicken nuggets. My youngest summed it up when she got hers and exclaimed, "I'm so glad they served enough food on a kids meal and didn't assume all kids have two inch stomachs". All portions seemed pretty big compared to other restraunts we have been to in the past. All food tasted great and we brought home quite a bit to make room for chocolate cake and blueberry cobbler a la mode, both which were good. The waitstaff seemed nice and the ship seemed well maintained. Overall, we are glad we chose to dine here.
