Bitter Rose Coffee Bar

Needed a quick pick me up after the gym and this looked like just the ticket. I really appreciate y’all’s willingness to entertain my request and mix things up and I promise it was everything I was dreaming of. Added espresso to the rose matcha and it made my morning. I also appreciated the knowledge and skill of the barista; it was a real treat watching her mix the matcha and put the whole drink together. Many thanks and hope to be back soon!

I did’t have any food or pastries during my visit, I only stopped by since I was visiting the neighborhood and needed a pit stop before heading home. I’m glad I did! Music choice really set the vibe, plenty of seating and cool patterns all around. Super awesome atmosphere and service. I ordered a Cubano, which the sweet barista accommodated me with. Sometimes I’ve been denied since the brown sugar can “harm” machines. But their expertise and care for quality excelled. Beyond even my own order. The shop is right next to a library- heavy foot traffic indeed! Lots of parents and children… but in and out they went!! QUICK SERVICE! I’ll be returning!

Not only does this place have great coffee but also the best baristas! Getting to see Grace and August has become my favorite part of Thursday mornings! Not only do they make the best drinks but they remember my order every time and aren’t afraid to chat, laugh and have fun while they are working. This creates a beautiful and infectious environment to study in. Between that and August’s love of Dolly Parton things are just perfect! Dolly Parton and great coffee get the morning started right.

Out of thousands of beverages I’ve ever had, the memory of two from Holly Rose still linger in my mind. I highly recommend their featured drinks, I’ve had the strawberry iced matcha latte and recently, the Peacemaker with oat milk, so unique and delicious. This coffee shop crafts beverages with the precision and creativity of a skilled mixologist.
