My friends in Surigao City, Philippines where excited to learn that I have found this place. Not many in PDX or the Pacific NW which feature a menu from the Philippines. The Sinigang soup is what I needed! We will be back!

Self Professed Filipeno Foodie here.
Finally had my chance to try out Chicken Adobo in the Washington Square mall location.
Food is served pre prepped style. Which is fine as everything looked hot and fresh. Really nice decor and feel. Not my Lola's house in Mauban but Pinoy themed. Very clean and includes outdoor seating! :)
I went for the Garlic Rice and 3 Enteree's. $14 which is a great price!
Chicken Adobo, Dinuguan and Kare Kare!
I had to say everything hit the spot. The Adobo was the right balance of Soy and Vinegar. Dinuguan was on point. Was surprised by how good the Kara Kare was. Right type of peanut!
There's more to try, so I can't wait till my next visit.
My husband and I were craving for home cook Filipino food today. So, we decided to go to Kubo and eat there for lunch. Got there and ordered not just dine-in food but also take out food for our dinner. We ordered quite a lot of varieties of food from what they have on their menu and they have quite a bit of choices. Food was excellent, truly home cook taste. We even ordered desserts -halo-halo and leche flan. Had to bring the desserts home as we were too full. I had rated the atmosphere as 4-stars instead of 5 more because we would have love more space inside for sitting down or dine in. They have plan to expand in the future for more tables for people who would like to dine in, which would be great! But, the atmosphere is very clean and reminded us of home. Service was superb. The owner was very friendly and explain to us about their food and how they make them to make every food taste like home cook food. We will be going back in the near and far future.
While on our Westcoast roadtrip, we stopped by this Filipino restaurant in Oregon I googled online while on the way to Yellowstone, I can say that it's one of the best authentic Filipino food outside home I had eaten in a while. The foods are delicious. I ordered beef sinigang, dinuguan (both comes with a rice), and pancit bihon. My bf and his nephew ordered chicken barbecue that comes with rice, spring rolls, and atsara. They like the foods considering they're not Filipinos.
So if you're on a travel in Oregon area and nearby States that likes Filipino foods. I recommend this restaurant.
Pictures shown we're eating in the table outside to feel the warm weather and stretched out coming from a long roadtrip.
Kubo is the place for authentic Filipino food. I’ve tried some of their dishes and my favorite is their pork barbeque and pancit (rice noodle dish). Today they introduced chicken inasal and it’s so delicious! If you want to try Filipino food, this is it. The place is clean and the owner is friendly and if you can’t decide what to try they can recommend or suggest.

Amazing restaurant. Rex the owner was amazing had wonderful conversation with him. He stays true to filipino food and the culture. The food was just like my moms and I havent had it in a decade and it filled a joy in my heart I cannot explain. Any who they are going to see my face a lot. The singagong and adobo was perfect.
Best Filipino restaurant we’ve come across and it’s hard to find delicious, authentic Filipino food. The man serving us I assume was the owner because he put so much care in making sure we were enjoying everything. Highly recommend!!
Delicious! First time having Filipino food. It was amazing. The spring rolls were the best I've ever eaten! They have a couple of vegan options but no gluten free option. This is a small restaurant with no indoor seating so plan to eat at the nearby outdoor (some covered and heated) tables or take out. Friendly staff and very clean. I'm so happy I tried this place and will definitely be going back!
We were taken back in time at Kubo’s to my husband‘s moms delicious Filipino meals. It was wonderful to take my kids and grans to experience a taste of their heritage. They loved it and we left with full tummy’s, happy hearts and new memories. Thank you for the wonderful meal ☺️❤️
I love the food (lechon kawali and inihaw/grilled) as it reminds me of home! Taste good and I can tell the pork belly’s marinated well as I would want it. I only gave 4 stars coz the desserts aren’t very good, I love to eat and cook so I may sound too confident but my leche flan and ube jam are way yummier. Regardless, I’m glad to find a restaurant that has the food I like everytime I’m craving and don’t have to bother cooking it. Been here several times and it’s nice to support local restaurants in covid times. Thanks kubo!
Delicious filipino foods! Can’t wait to try the rest of their menu. The best Lechon around Vancouver and Portland area.
Delicious, authentic, and freshly made! My family are Filipinos who recently came from Florida and wanted to eat a Fillipino restaurant. We came here Saturday lunch. I ordered the pork sisig. So yummy! Tastes very home-y. Even my dad (who ordered the inihaw) said how the taste is what he used to have back home. Rex was very nice and friendly to us as well. :)
