Straight From New York Pizza

There's nothing better on a rainy Portland day that folding a slice of SFNY pizza in half and eating it while you stare out the window and contemplate your life's choices. Just me? Whether you're looking for a solo slice, or picking up a whole pie for your Mean Girls movie night (that's totally a thing, right?) there's few places with as delicious of pizza as here.

The place was so fun! Great music, fun atmosphere, we were the only customers there so we got to chat with the chef a bit, then the pizza itself... The immediate words that spring to mind are: fresh, delicious, cheesy, bubblingly got, it's everything you could want from a good pizza. Prices are very reasonable for what you get, I know we went on an off night, but I still think that place should have a line out the door, if you're in the neighborhood, definitely check them out

I only ever get slices. Never have done delivery or whole pies, so I can't say anything about that. But it's the best tasting by-the-slice spot in the neighborhood. The other NY named place off 23rd doesn't come even close. Staff is usually pretty chill and service is usually fast. The window seats facing Burnside is one of the best spots for people watching.

I haven’t been to NY but this place was close to our hotel and a quick walk. I ordered a slice of Margherita and was not disappointed. Again, not from NY, live in Hawaii so there you have it. I normally like a thick crust, and there’s is thin. That’s good if you intend to drink and not get so full of pizza. The slice was more than adequate imo, and I personally don’t like a super thin cracker type crust like many others. This was my type of crust but I don’t know if it’s because it was sitting out. Either way, i loved it and yes, it is a little on the flimsy side. But great flavor and for $4 who can complain. I ordered to go as I wasn’t hungry yet otherwise I’d have eaten in the shop. Plenty beers to choose from as well. Shop is not fancy, not pretentious, street parking.

This is legitimately some of the best pizza I’ve ever had, let alone for $3 a slice for their afternoon deal. Every slice of pizza I eat (and all other life experiences I have) from here on out will be judged against these two perfect slices of heaven. If you don’t immediately drop what you’re doing right now and come eat pizza here you’re living a sad, joyless existence and I pity you.

By far. The. Best. Pizza. I. Have. Had. In. Portland. When I first went I had a few drinks and thought it was because of that. I couldn’t believe the taste. So the next day I quickly stopped by again for lunch. And to my surprise it was even better. The sauce is just right. And everything is cooked correctly. I truly enjoy the pizza options they have and wholeheartedly recommend.
