Found an amazing hidden sandwich gem! The food here is absolutely amazing! This Chicago style sandwich spot has it all. Their service was top notch. Every employee that I met while ordering were extremely friendly and welcoming. Now, the sandwiches, they fresh smoke all their meats and slice them up to order. The flavor tenderness and judiciousness of their food was out of this world! In other words I’m going to be a regular. Been trying to find a good sandwich shop in Portland and I finally found the one! Corner spot of a building gave it great ambiance and a nice elegant outdoor seating area with heaters. I don’t think the pictures do it just how good this place makes its zombie fries and cubano sandwich. I got the pastrami and Cubano to spilt sandwiches with someone so I tried half of both. I liked both but they were totally different sandwiches one was cold other hot. I got it delivered so it probably doesn’t look as appealing as it tasted.

I just learned that most people might not know the story behind Sammich’s albacore sandwich. Ask them about it. It’s so far beyond ordinary tuna, I’ve never had anything else on the menu. Topped with dill pickles and dressed arugula—it is amazing. It’s $17 but it’s huge and if I could stop eating it I could take half home for another meal. Counter service is always good and today Jared was another step above excellent. Atmosphere is “parking lot chic” but the wood smoker is right there, and it’s typical big city street eating. So if you don’t like that, take your meal home.

Delicious sandwiches, lots of veggie options. Super chill vibes. Seems to be a LGBTQIA+ friendly place to grab a bite to eat. I highly recommend the Green Dragon if you love arugula. The sandwich itself is huge, stacked with arugula. If you have a nose ring like I do, be prepared to get that delicious vinaigrette on your jewelry. It Will happen. Messy, but so worth it. The tuna is also fantastic, and really rich. Will definitely be back.
