This is the best restaurant in Portland…dine in or take away! So many dishes are delicious and you must try the veggie samosas. Vegan or not—it’s for everyone. The same adorable women is always cooking and the same adorable man is working the front everytime. Highly recommend!! Such lovely food. Thank you both thank you!

Love this place! The owners are an amazing couple- who make amazing food & share fascinating stories. Good was quick, considering its house made- the atmosphere is kinda like a fast food environment- with a comfy feel. I would definitely go back.

This place is fantastic! My wife and I came in one evening and was blown away by the flavor of the food. Everything was made to order so it was fresh and delicious! The staff was very nice and a place I’d be willing to support. Would absolutely come back again!

I love Indian food, and this is the best I’ve had in Portland!! We had the lamb vindaloo, saag paneer, and side of veggies.

This is an absolutely amazing family restaurant with possibly the best Indian food I've ever had.
Every bite is a symphony of perfect flavor and texture, and the owners are absolute godsends to the community.
110,000/5 stars.

Visited India Oven for dinner and was met with a delightful culinary experience. The Daal soup was a revelation - rich and concentrated with an infusion of fresh herbs that struck a harmonious balance. The Chicken Vindaloo was equally captivating, offering a depth of flavor that truly tantalized the palate. The chicken itself was meticulously trimmed and had a tenderness to it, allowing for a spoon-cut softness that's rare to find. The Naan was a textbook example of how it should be – crispy on the outside, while maintaining a chewy softness inside.
While our interaction was brief, it was a pleasure to chat with the owner who radiated warmth and genuineness. A minor hiccup was the wait time; it was a tad longer than we'd anticipated. However, as the saying goes, 'good food takes time'. And at India Oven, it's evident that the dishes are crafted with love and dedication.
Highly recommend a visit for anyone craving authentic Indian flavors.

The food is amazing. You can tell it is made from scratch and love. Just amazing. The couple are so sweet and honestly they work so hard, I wanted to help out just because I appreciate their hard work, kindness, and the amazing food. Talk about being willing to work for food. It was my first time here and oh my goodness, so fresh, different options than other Indian restaurants, and the love, you taste it in the food. Highly highly recommend. Just come with patience. It is a couple doing all of it because they are having a hard time finding staff.

Ordered some Naan and a couple dishes to go. Food was excellent with wonderful flavors. No cucumbers so we couldn't order the salad.
