Holy moly, where has this been all my life? Literally the most awesome sushi experience we've had in Portland. Our server was incredibly kind and knowledgeable, we got so much food we could barely walk afterward. The fish was fresh and we were able to sample a lot of things for a fair price. The restaurant is spacious and lively. We are adding this to our rotation of places to frequent.

The most delicious and unique sushi experience of our life. You absolutely must try the Reptar roll, it's got mini lemon slices and apple amidst spicy tuna, salmon and jalapeño aoli - my mouth is watering just thinking about it. My wife and I eat sushi a lot, it's our go-to, and we can always tell the quality of restaurant by the miso soup. This miso was amazing: just the right temperature, tofu, and seaweed so we knew we were in for a treat, and they delivered. The waitresses were so kind, humorous, and efficient, and the chefs seemed genuinely pleased as we smiled at them after taking our first bites - definitely taking pride in their work. Great experience!

This place has fresh fare, well-plated. We loved their Happy Hour drinks and appetizers- very well-priced. We also loved their real crab CA rolls and salmon belly (toro) but we didn’t like: 1) it is very loud ,2) the menu print don’t is so small that it is difficult for elderly eyes to read 3) no photos with the menu to help one imagine the dish and 4) Menu uses Japanese words like temari (instead of nigiri, which many know) and Gunkan ( seaweed wrapped nigiri). Ask the attentive staff for assistance. Service was prompt, parking out front was easy.

Pricey but delicious. You'll get smaller portions but the fish is flavorful and you get a great variety. Chirashi and Kisan bowls are delicious, it includes Toro which I think justifies the price. Rolls are interesting and flavor bombs

My dining experience at this sushi haven reached new heights thanks to the wonderful server, Jason. Not only did he excel in providing impeccable service, but he also surprised us with a memorable party trick involving the sashimi platter. Their attentiveness and cheerful demeanor enhanced the overall dining atmosphere. Each dish was a masterpiece, showcasing the chef's skill and the restaurant's commitment to quality. The seamless combination of delectable sushi and impeccable service makes this establishment a must-visit for any sushi enthusiast.

Upon entering, they ask if we had a reservation , which we didn't and luckily they were able to seat us right away. Highly recommend getting a reservation. They had a lot of to go orders while we were there and the place was mostly full on a late Friday night. The menu has a lot of choices. My friend went with the course menu. I did some of the sushi. Since she got a course meal, I was able to sample her food. The salad has this tangy cirtrusy dressing, light and refreshing! The shrimp tempura was crunchy and batter is consistent with what I think most places do. Service was attentive and really good. I can't wait to be back here again! Parking is street ( parellel). Overall a fairly accessible place. Tables aren't too close together.

We both got the Bluefin Special C with Sake and margaritas from the bar. Excellent quality, all the ingredients were fresh and the service was great. Worth riding a bike from Seattle for.

the courses are an excellent way to try a little of everything (or in the case of course C, a lot of everything). complete with miso soup, salad, several pieces of sushi including bluefin and a tempura sampler, it feels like a good value. ask for the fresh wasabi if they have it. I prefer it to the paste. only criticism is one of the pieces of bluefin had some scales that had to be picked out and the salmon salad was a bit too sour, possibly from the lemon zest or a vinegar.
