Delicious food! Great sides for vegetarians and nice wine selection. It's a hidden gem that I like to treat my friends to when they give me rides to PDX.

The food was really good. I expected a slightly different restaurant by it was a little bit more downtown Portland where you order before you sit but they do bring you your food so you’re not just standing there. The food was absolutely amazing. In all honesty I would’ve loved more from the chef and More of the restaurant vibes. the Bolognese pasta dish potato appetizer, along with the brussels sprouts and a small sausage pizza that paired with two drinks was about $60 not bad for two appetizers to entrées and two drinks..

The grilled pork chop was delicious and tender. The side of grilled broccolini was also delicious. The Pig in the Woods pizza was very tasty. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Service was prompt and professional.

5 stars due to the incredible food. Service was somewhat lacking. Despite that, I'd give it 5 stars. While friendly, it seems they forgot about us for the most part after we received our food. It also took nearly 40 min for someone to come by, and I could request a drink refill. As well, didn't like paying and tipping at the time of order instead of after the meal like a normal restaurant. STILL... the food was incredible!!! The Pig in the Woods pizza was loaded, and baked to perfection, it was absolutely delicious and one of the best I've ever had. The brick chicken was fantastic as well, flavourful, tender, and memorable. I'd definitely recommend the food here.

An outstanding find near PDX lodging. Great variety menu. I've had their pasta, pork chops, pizzas and salads. Attentive staff. I've never had a bad meal at Bistro 23. My wife and I have taken friends there when we have traveled through Portland, all agree this is a great find.

Great find near PDX airport. Typically I avoid places where you order at the counter and then food is brought out to you but Bistro23 does it so well that it was actually a nice convenience. Loved the little outdoor patio and the overall vibe. Food was great and staff were wonderful. Highly recommend and we will be back!

First time here. Took a recommendation on what to order. The Brick Chicken was excellent. Hot and crispy to the last bite. The fried mashed potatoes were full of flavor. Will definitely go again if I get the chance to next time I am in Portland. Thank you

Bistro 23 is an excellent restaurant nestled in an industrial area not far from the Portland Airport. There is ample parking and seating, though we visited in the late afternoon on a Saturday so it may be different during peak hours. For those unfamiliar with this kind of establishment you order at the counter upfront when you are ready and then are seated at a numbered table. They do not offer reservations and seat based on a first come first serve basis. I got the brick chicken which was fantastically done, the crushed garlic potatoes that came with it were unique and left me wanting more. For drinks they have an extensive list of local wine and beer, and a few cocktails. I tried the Secret Handshake which was a bit orangey for me and not very strong. My girlfriend got the College Radio which was better but was also not a very strong drink. Overall the food, service, and atmosphere where excellent, though the cocktails were a tad underwhelming. We would come back again to try more of their food!
