Been to many Hawaiian joints here in the mainland, and 808 grinds is by far the best I've been to! Not even L&L can compare -- I must say I felt they out did the local vibe as if you were in Hawaii. The price for plates are reasonable with great portion size. I had the combo 11 and Saimin. Ate them both not because I was hungry! :) it was that good! I don't eat a lot of pork but the Kalua pork was so tasty- I scraped my plate with this one.

Went to 808 Grinds Cafe for the first time and it was amazing. Best mac salad I have had on the mainland! And the musubi was just like foodland makes....my favorite snack. Everything was delicious! The only thing that could have made it even better would be if shoyu tuna poke and tako poke were on the menu. I would be there every single day then.

The food is very good and the staff is very friendly. We tried a variety of things and liked it all. The fries are very rich. They have plenty of vegetarian options, which was nice I recommend them if you are out that way. They do offer pre-packaged drinks as well.

We went with 808 Grinds for our wedding catering, and it was one of the best choices we made! The food was delicious and they served generous portions– our guests loved having the option to try different dishes. The staff was professional, friendly, and easy to work with. Having a food truck at the wedding was a cool experience that everyone enjoyed! Thank you, 808 Grinds! Photo Credit: Jess Woodhouse

We ordered Da Combo, Sainim, and Musubi. The Sainim broth was too salty. The meats (chicken and pork) in Da Combo were good and it was big enough for two people. The Musubi was tasty. Great service! The outside seating was nice.

11.50 (as of 11/4/23) for a plate, which includes macaroni salad, rice, salad and your choice of meat? Unheard of. Even roxys is a little more if I'm not mistaken. The service was fast and they have some good desserts for those of you who have a sweet tooth. If you go at night, you need to go towards the back end of the parking lot. The sign is hard to see in the night, but it's in the same general area as the Beaverton DMV. I recommend the yellow sauce! Pretty solid!

We were in the area and had to eat here again!!! And again delish! Came to the table hot and in take out container but handy for leftovers! The food is fresh made and very flavorful! Big portions enough for 2! I'm hooked! Go to try it!

Had a great experience at this Hawaiian spot. I originally ordered the Kimchi Pork Belly Stew, but wasn't completely satisfied with the pork belly. However, the restaurant's amazing service shone through, as they kindly replaced my dish with a delightful Teriyaki Steak at no additional cost. Super impressed and thrilled with their accommodation. Highly recommended!

The food is fantastic, service is stellar every time. There's probably going to be a wait, but it's well worth it. Can be overstimulating since the space inside isn't very large, so if you have sensory issues like me, you should plan accordingly (headphones, fidgets, pocket friend, etc). Great place to snag a little treat after a grueling trip to the dmv.

Overall good experience the food is solid for the mainland. Service was great the people behind the counter were kind and attentive. The area isn’t the greatest but they have tried their best to provide rational seating in the area. The atmosphere inside is fine but if you turned off the music you wouldn’t feel like it was anything special. Nothing against what they’ve done but it isn’t especially decorated to reflect Hawaiian culture or food. With that said you come here for the food and it’s good. Mac salad is solid. Rice is always perfect and their selection of dishes is what you’d expect. For sure come here take a seat enjoy the atmosphere as the people there are really laid back and kind. For sure makes up for the lack of visual decoration.
