Sisters Coffee Company

We stopped here during our visit to Portland a couple of times. The only thing we tried was their coffee. We had drip coffee and a cappuccino with oat milk. We found their coffee to be on the strong side, while we preferred more on the fruity side, but nevertheless, we enjoyed it. The place is bigger than a usual cafe, plus they have high ceilings with 2 levels of sitting. The high ceiling gives this place a unique vibe. Plus they also have outdoor sitting. Both times we found the staff to be super friendly and could see that they are very popular with locals and would engage in a conversation with them. One time on a weekday morning, there were many people in the queue and they didn’t rush anyone. I would highly recommend anyone visiting Portland to stop by this cafe.

I like coming down to Sisters in the morning and grabbing coffee with my partner. Their food is pretty good and their coffee is always on point for me. I usually have to add some simple syrup because I prefer sweet lattes but their flavors are yummy. The salty bee is my favorite right now. I like their breakfast sandwiches and the avocado toast. The food tastes fresh (at least a lot more fresh than Starbucks lol) and it's maybe a little pricey but it's not breaking the bank. The staff is all pretty friendly. I'm not usually a huge coffee shop person. I feel like they can feel snooty and uninviting at times. Sisters can be like that a little bit, but it never comes from the staff. Just a lot of people sometimes in there that carry a bit of that pearl vibe that I don't love. Maybe that's just me, though. Either way, worth stopping in and sitting outside with coffee in the morning.

Update on my review. Sisters never seems to fail me. The daydreamer latte is such an amazing drink to kick off your first time at Sisters. The flavors of this latte are semi-sweet yet the coffee beans themselves are so robust, you can really taste every part of this latte. If you are looking for breakfast, come get yourself a breakfast sandwich, the variety is quite great. You have so many options I am sure you will find something you like! And the aioli is so good. Ordered the classic and bacon, egg and cheese breakfast sandwiches. Both were stellar! If you’re looking for a light and smaller sandwich go for the classic. The bacon egg and cheese was on a bagel and was more of a classic breakfast sandwich which filled me up perfectly for the day. The chai is great, I accidentally forgot to order it with oat milk - which just means I get to go back soon to try it how I usually take it! Atmosphere was so cozy and inviting, the service was great and attentive to all our first timer questions.

My neighborhood go to coffee shop. I like their breakfast sandwiches. Needless to say, their coffee is great. They do awesome latte art each time. Staff are nice, shop is nicely decorated with many of their goods. As the Covid subsided, they lost the outside sitting area on the Marshall street, which is a responsible thing to do. After all it is a public space and we need these spaces back for parking, driving. But they still have outside seating on the side walk. I’m so happy to have this place only one or two blocks from me.
