Fantastic grocery for health food, a great selection of bulk herbs, foods and teas, as well as unusual culinary items. Wide selection of local kombucha. The store itself is homey, like some 70's earthship plopped down in Southeast Portland. I can appreciate their still requiring masks when most stores no longer care.

I have been going here since I was a little kid and my parents bought me the dreaded Rice Dream ice cream as a desert.
This place has a great bulk section, local produce, fantastic employees, and it hosts my favorite farmers market all year long, every Wednesday, which I go to religiously for local mushrooms, produce, and affordable raw honey.
I will be a lifetime shopper!
Highly recommend.

I love a lot of things about People’s, but what really sets them apart is the produce. Much of it is sourced from local farms, so it’s SO much fresher and tastes SO much better than the produced found in most grocery stores that’s grown by agribusiness on the giant farms in Central and South America. Shop local that sources locally! The Farmers Market on Wednesday evenings is also awesome.

Great local market everything you'd need to buy food to cook at home. Good place to go for a quick snack or for juice. Lots of healthy and local/organic food options. The building showcases a lot of cob (earthen building technique) which makes for very unique architecture. Membership is 30$ per year and then free after 6 years, if you're a member then you can attend their yoga classes for free although The Corona Virus has temporarily put a stop to that. But they still have gardening classes.

Extremely helpful and welcoming staff.
Theres a really nice history behind the co-op, and theyre involved in the city's community too
Did you know: people's co-op participates in a program called double up food bucks, allowing ebt and ebt cash users to get a better value on local and fresh produce. Check their website for more info

A small co-op, but they do a lot with the space they have! Nothing fills me with delight quite like shopping at the co-op. There are many local options to choose from, and vegan products I need. And there’s nowhere else I want to buy my produce. 🍊

They are seemingly great place. Wasn't huge on how i was informed that it was closing time and the restroom was no longer available. I am going back to give them another chance though. The girl watering the plant life was very pleasant.

I love visiting people's co-op. They have a great selection of quality products curated to support small businesses locally and internationally. Their bulk selection for food is fantastic and they have a great variety of herbal products, tea and coffee. They also offer some gluten free, vegan options. The store is entirely vegetarian, ie no meat products available. They also have sections for produce, alcohol, treats and health products. It's a small store with a lot of value to offer.
