I wandered in tonight with my fist edition Edith Wharton, torn jeans like a Taylor Swift song, hoping for a glass of wine and maybe some bread... I left with a memory, and a new favorite place to call home. The food was beyond compare, and I won't even try to spell it because I can't, but no one made me feel like I didn't belong. I'd just point at the menu, and hope for the best, and I was met with understanding and hospitality. Who knew butter could be whipped that beautifully? I say that as someone that now makes their own... If you're looking for a spot to call your own, or maybe take a date - look no further.

A dear friend took me here for my birthday, and Quaintrelle is now my new favorite special occasion restaurant in Portland! The meal was spectacular, the service was impeccable, and the drinks were very tasty! We ended up ordering a la carte and sharing in hopes that we wouldn't be too stuffed, but alas we failed in that aspect. We rolled ourselves home, full and happy after this incredible meal. Our server was funny and attentive and overall amazing. I can't wait to go back.

This is a high-quality/high-price fine dining experience tucked away on Clinton Street. We opted for the 10-course experience with wine pairings, which is, to be clear, a hefty outlay of cash. And I'm happy to say that it was worth it. This is a nice spot run by people who care. The food was all interesting and delicious, and the wines were paired up nicely (10 pairings!). Quaintrelle is aiming at providing a world-class dining experience and they're hitting. I hope that people recognize this restaurant for what it is doing and embrace it. Given the cost of entry, I don't think this is a place i'll return to more than once a year. But I will absolutely return and I'm looking forward to seeing how their menu changes with the seasons.

Went to Quaintrelle for our anniversary. We like checking out new places, and Quaintrelle did not disappoint. We did the 7 course chef menu. The food was absolutely delicious. I was blown away by their complimentary focaccia (it was out of this world good!) and the buckwheat ice cream! My only regret is that we didn't do the 10 course menu.

Absolutely amazing food, plating, beverages, and service. The bar has drinks I've never heard of before, including, my favorite, "A Little Pep", with 114 proof bourbon, turmeric, ginger, topped with a pickled peppercorn. Eat the peppercorn before taking your first sip. We highly recommend the 10-course tasting menu ($195) with wine pairings ($105). There is also a 7-course option for $155/$85. Expensive, and worth it. If you're really lucky, you'll get Nick as your waiter. He's knowledgeable and hilarious.

Staff was knowledgeable and friendly, Staff was attentive without intruding on your evening experience. All the dishes were explained when brought out. If the chef had any recommendations on how to eat the item it was conveyed. The food was a well thought out experience of flavor and textures. We were by the kitchen so being able to watch the staff interact and prepare the intricate dishes was an added bonus.

Amazing experience! We both ordered the 7 course tasting menu. Getting our first dishes was a little slow (very busy) but our server brought us complimentary champagne without us saying anything. High quality food, beautiful presentation and you could tell the staff was proud of their dishes. On my list of best places in Portland - excited to go back again!

We try many of the great pdx restaurants nearly once per month for years. Quaintrelle has some of the most attentive service, top tier bar wine list and crazy crazy good food. Top notch, highly recommended! Shockingly, expensive and fancy restaurants routinely mess up THE simplest drink like a Negroni. Sometimes warm, served on the rocks (yuck) portions wrong. Like it’s 3 (&$@$! ingredients — pay attention! Quaintrelle’s simple Negroni was absolutely perfect. That means they are actually paying attention. The rest of the meal and wine service was equally flawless.

The food is worth trying. Spending just under 3 hours to receive 7 courses with loud house music was too exhausting though. They need to improve their speed.
