A dear friend took me here for my birthday, and Quaintrelle is now my new favorite special occasion restaurant in Portland! The meal was spectacular, the service was impeccable, and the drinks were very tasty! We ended up ordering a la carte and sharing in hopes that we wouldn't be too stuffed, but alas we failed in that aspect. We rolled ourselves home, full and happy after this incredible meal. Our server was funny and attentive and overall amazing. I can't wait to go back.

Amazing experience! We both ordered the 7 course tasting menu. Getting our first dishes was a little slow (very busy) but our server brought us complimentary champagne without us saying anything. High quality food, beautiful presentation and you could tell the staff was proud of their dishes. On my list of best places in Portland - excited to go back again!

Staff was knowledgeable and friendly, Staff was attentive without intruding on your evening experience. All the dishes were explained when brought out. If the chef had any recommendations on how to eat the item it was conveyed. The food was a well thought out experience of flavor and textures. We were by the kitchen so being able to watch the staff interact and prepare the intricate dishes was an added bonus.

Went to Quaintrelle for our anniversary. We like checking out new places, and Quaintrelle did not disappoint. We did the 7 course chef menu. The food was absolutely delicious. I was blown away by their complimentary focaccia (it was out of this world good!) and the buckwheat ice cream! My only regret is that we didn't do the 10 course menu.

Where to begin? We found this spot looking for ‘most romantic restaurants in Portland’ - and it delivered. Located in a peaceful, quiet area, the ambiance of the outdoor seating set a welcoming tone. The staff were so warm and personable, expert guides to navigate the fabulously diverse menu. We ordered 4 a la carte options + dessert, which was a perfect amount for two people. This is an excellent date night / anniversary spot - the presentation of each dish is so colorful and creative. My only feedback of something to change would be that the music selection - a trance-y, loud mish-mash that felt out of step with the rest of the vibe - could be improved in the future. Otherwise, already plotting our next visit!

We’ve only visited for happy hour having one round of cocktails and a few small plates. The space is nice but the “bar” only has three seats. There are two large outdoor heated seating areas. The cocktails and bread and oysters were all superb. I look forward to coming back for dinner, having as many courses as possible.

Highly recommend! Fresh, high quality and incredible flavor in every dish. In speaking with the staff, they get all their ingredients locally at the farmers market so the menu often changes. I did the a la carte menu but they have a tasting menu with options for 5/7/9 plates. My waitress mentioned it includes dishes not listed on the a la carte menu so when I come back, I'll definitely do the tasting menu! For 3 plates and a mocktail it cost ~$105 after taxes and tip but having been here now, I'd definitely do the tasting menu which starts at $105. Appetizer: Oysters/nuac cham/pear/hibiscus/sambal Entree: black cod/cabbage/jimmy nardello/almond/miso Dessert: "Under pressure" - baklava/kulfi/compressed apple (perfect portion size for a dessert) Drink: A delicious mocktail the bartender made with non alcoholic rum, ginger beer, bitters, grapefruit and something else (soooo yummy)

My partner and I came in for a late Valentine’s Day celebration and had a great experience. We enjoyed high quality food, fun cocktails, an exciting atmosphere, and respectful service. We got the 7 course tasting menu, and were very impressed with 5 of the courses. 2 were good, but we just weren’t wowed by them. I have a shellfish allergy and they accommodated it very well, cleverly substituting a scallop with a parsnip, which ended up being my favorite course. I also loved the focaccia and chanterelle mushroom dish, and will be dreaming about the house tapioca for weeks to come. The hamachi was a tasty cut, but the pomegranate vinaigrette paired with granny apples was too tart for my taste. The chicken Kiev was a bit bland and didn’t excite us. The servers were all very knowledgeable of the food and attentive to tables. I could tell they were passionate about the food they were serving, which adds a lot to the experience. Will definitely be returning soon!

The food is worth trying. Spending just under 3 hours to receive 7 courses with loud house music was too exhausting though. They need to improve their speed.

This is a high-quality/high-price fine dining experience tucked away on Clinton Street. We opted for the 10-course experience with wine pairings, which is, to be clear, a hefty outlay of cash. And I'm happy to say that it was worth it. This is a nice spot run by people who care. The food was all interesting and delicious, and the wines were paired up nicely (10 pairings!). Quaintrelle is aiming at providing a world-class dining experience and they're hitting. I hope that people recognize this restaurant for what it is doing and embrace it. Given the cost of entry, I don't think this is a place i'll return to more than once a year. But I will absolutely return and I'm looking forward to seeing how their menu changes with the seasons.
