Monday night is open mic comedy night, and one of the best kept secrets in town. No cover, inexpensive drinks, and you'll see a great mix of new comics trying out their stuff (some good some awful), and more established comics working on new material, some you'd pay a nice hefty cover to see elsewhere. They also do karaoke, some of my friends find it their fave spot to croon.

Liked: This is a comfortable place to drink and do some (light) dancing on a weekend night. I've always felt happy here when other places are either too divey or too much of a scene. Disliked: on a popular night, they sometimes charge a cover so show up before 10, get stamped and you should be fine. Also it can get hot and crowded in there on Friday night. Atmosphere: the crowd tends to be late 20's to early 30's but I've been here with younger and older groups and you won't feel uncomfortable.

I really enjoy the Monday night Open-Mic. A lot of great comics trying out new material as well as new comics getting their first stage time. It's painful and wonderful all at the same time. The beer prices are low and they have a pretty good kitchen menu. Come on down after 9 on Monday and enjoy some local comedy.

Yes, you will wait multiple hours if you put a song in for karaoke, but you'll have to get over it. If you yell any of the wonderfully patient and skilled KJ's about it, you will look like a douchebag. The KJ's are always willing to suggest songs or look up special requests. My favorite aspect of BR is that there is no stage. You aren't there to show off any singing skills, you are there to entertain and be entertained. The crowd is usually a great mix of all walks of Portland life. The entire staff are very cool and helpful. The bar always has a great special and the bartenders are VERY fast.

First off, dollar beers free pool, no cover and free karaoke with a pretty enthusiastic crowd. Thursday nights brought a flash mob of people around 10pm This place appears to be pretty popular, its a shame that the decor has a beyond lived in feel. The pool table is a mess, stains and loose pieces. It is functional, however. Beers ran out around midnight, but this is obviously understandable. There was a sufficient lack of signage regarding pricing and restrooms. A long hallway to the bathrooms lacks a sign somewhere between to indicate they are at the very end of the hallway. It isnt a very large space but another reviewer mentioned its a hallway, I dont know what they were thinking. For the crowd of people there, it was a decent space. A limited range of food was eaten, however it was delivered quickly and tasted good. The crowd again was a great experience, they cheered and congratulated each other. Song selection was great and on the fly the KJ would download a song they were missing. Overall a great experience, 4 people 44 bucks, 10$ CC minimum. Free karaoke, pool and practically free beer.

Karaoke most nights, but the amateur stand up comedy on Mondays is a ton of fun, we went for my friends' 21st birthday and the minor heckling that went back and forth really topped off the night. Drinks are spendy, but it's a great place.

Try to make it here at least once a week. Always a great time, staff is on top of things, and they serve great cocktails. Karaoke here is the best in town.

Bahahaha good times with the amigos here, always a good stop. I recommend stopping in before you go to the other clubs and requesting your songs and then come back.
