I have been to this restaurant before for which I was disappointed. Yet thought of giving another chance and visited for second time.
- I must say, I’m impressed with service, satisfied with food.
For starters we ordered Karampodi corn, Veg spring rolls and Egg salt and pepper.
- If your looking for spicy options in veg do go for “Karampodi corn” it will not disappoint you.
- Egg salt and pepper was good too.
- Veg spring rolls were little disappointing but not bad.
Coming to main course, we ordered just Naan and curry.
- Garlic naan was so soft and yum. I asked to brush some butter on top of naan.
- Kadai paneer was good in taste and goes well with garlic naan.
Finally, dessert time. No matter how full you are, there is always a room for desserts 😁 We had Rasmalai sweet. It was nice.
Conclusion, this is place was worth giving a second try.. 👍🏻😋
In my hunt for Indian restaurants after recently relocating to California, one of my friends recommended Amaravathi Restaurant. It's a terrific place to eat authentic Indian food, and in particular, the taste, cleanliness, and customer service were excellent. It's also a great place to eat non-vegetarian appetizers and biryanis, as well as garlic naan, panner 555, and shrimp ghee roast, which were all excellent.
We ordered take out for 40 people. All veg items were tasty and South Indian style curries were spot on. Had good responses from family members in the gathering. People here helped me with loading and unloading everything in my car. And gave me ample of equipment to keep it warm later at home during catering. Would suggest it and give it a try again when needed.
Loved this place. Authentic taste of Indian food straight from Andhra. The appetizers, main course are all so good that you will fulfil all your indian food cravings. Highly recommend this restaurant if you are in the bay area. Must try!

We recently had the pleasure of organizing a Diwali celebration at our workplace, and I cannot express enough how delighted we were with the catering services provided by Rajiv at Amaravathi House. It was evident that the chefs put a lot of thought and effort into crafting each dish. We had a great service, the tandoori was so tender and juicy, definitely a must try.. baby corn Manchurian was not that great.. biryani was also good..
I recently organized an event for nearly 100 people and opted for catering services from Amaravathi. I cannot praise their dedication and the quality of their South Indian Telugu food enough.
The entire process was seamless, from placing the order to the delivery. The food arrived piping hot and impeccably presented, showcasing their commitment to taste and aesthetics.
The Appetizers and biryani were a crowd favorite. The biryanis were fragrant, with layers of flavor that delighted every palate. Each curry was a masterpiece, with authentic spices and prepared with utmost precision.
Their attention to detail in catering to a large gathering without compromising taste deserves applause.
We only had idli here. It was great the idlis were soft and chatnis were so tasty. The service was very friendly. They have a good chaat gaadi right in front of the restaurant and the pani puri there was just awesome! Have to visit both the restaurant and the gaadi again!
Calling all dosa fanatics in East Bay!!!
If you are a dosa lover, this place is a must visit. The best Rava dosa I've personally had in all of North America, the ultra-thin and crisp combination is what will bring us back when I visit the area again. I think you could also order the masala version of this which is another nice combination. Our table also ordered onion-chilli dosa, kaaram podi dosa, masala dosa which were all big hits too. Don't forget to ask for more of that super delicious sambar which reminded me of what one would get in proper tiffin places in Tamil Nadu.
We also ordered the chicken tikka biryani, and this interesting twist on the standard chicken tikka did not disappoint. Everything was great taste and served at perfect temperature.
We went on a Friday lunch buffet. There were so little food available. We thought they will refill the foods in time but they did not. Every item was cold and the spread was not much as well. We checked the chicken curry and there were no chicken in it. We asked for it and one person came with a small to go container and put some chicken on it. Same was with tandoori chicken and sweet dish. We gave our feedback at the counter and that person was indifferent. Not going back to this buffet again.
Edit: 10/14/2023 - We went around September for Lunch Buffet. I have to say our previous visits for the same were good though. My review was for our recent visit only. And we often order chicken biriyani from here.
Update 12/01/2023: We went for a Friday lunch buffet and this time it was very nice. The options for the starters to the main course and dessert were good. The food tasted really good. I’m upgrading my stars for Amaravathi House 🙂
