I invited my distinguished guests from my parent company. The big boss loves steak, and I was really happy to see he enjoyed the stake of Hap's pretty much.
This is my favorite restaurant and the one of the best in Pleasanton. It worth to pay $100/person at least. The Hap's provides gorgeous and richest dinner in our lives. The service is good, too. And yet, it was a little bit noisy due to their BUSINESS.
I like the manner of making reservation via e-mail because we could exchange our preference such as table location.

Artichokes are fun, but not a ton of food. 10oz filet was good but a little boring.
Came for the prime rib and placed our order. However, our server came back 5 minutes later to tell us they were all out of prime rib. The food was good except for the steak fries which tasted more like burned potato wedges. We would like to come back so we can try the prime rib.
The restaurant is pricy, but the food and service were excellent. Great place of your a wine drinker, too. Unfortunately, I am a beer drinker, so my options were limited. If I ever go back, I want to try the prime rib. I'm often afraid to order it since it is often fatty, but it looked great.
This place is fantastic! Steaks are some of the best you will ever have. Appetizers, side dishes, main dishes and desserts are all phenomenal. You can't go wrong. Service is top notch to match the food and atmosphere. It is pricey but very worth it. Great for a night out with someone special or large parties.
I had the Lamb Chops with the bordelaise sauce, my hubby had the 22oz Rib Eye. Both were excellent. The Macaroni and cheese was really tasty. I could taste a smokiness coming thru, possibly a sharp white cheddar which was super yummy. The Mashed Potatoes were fluffy and the asparagus was nicely cooked. I also recommend the Bananas Foster Bread Pudding. It was toasty on the outside and moist on the inside topped with the caramelized bananas and a caramel drizzle. There was a full bar but we ordered Titos Soda which is pretty straight forward. Our server was friendly and informative. Very nice. We will be returning.
Outstanding service, I seriously felt like I was in a Downton Abbey movie. The servers were so attentive, if I even had a thought that I needed something our server, Paul, was right there. Very good menu, would like to see more options for the side dish that comes with the steaks or the ability to substitute.
Food was excellent- great value, expensive but extremely worth what was paid. Awesome birthday experience.
