Can't ask for a better lunch venue. Good food served fast at great prices. So many choices. Stop by and you won't regret it.

Incredible Wrap. I had not eaten here before as I work on the other side of downtown but had an event this morning on Grant and passed this place on my way back to the office. I was hungry for some hummus so I thought I would pick some up for lunch. Then I saw that they had kafta on the menu so decided to add a kafta wrap as well. So glad I did. Holy smokes it this awesome. Wonderfully seasoned ground beef kabob with lettuce, tomato, pickles and tahini. One of the best "sandwiches" I have ever had. And the hummus is good, too, though need a few more pieces of pita to clean out the container of it! I will definitely have to make the effort to walk over to that side of town more often.
Love it. I love this place, although I have gotten the same thing every time I go in. The chicken shwarma, fattoush and lima beans are excellent. I venture to say that the baba ghanouj is the best in the city. People are very friendly.

Step Outside Your Culinary Comfort Zone. After reading the reviews on here for Madonna’s, I decided I was going to give this place a try today. I’ve walk into this place a number of times and then walked out simply because I had no idea what any of the stuff behind the cafeteria style line was. But today I decided it was time to step outside my norm and throw my culinary caution to the wind. I’m glad I did.
Like James R. pointed out in his “tip”, I found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. The lady on the serving line explained what each item was and told me that the lunch special consisted of “one meat and two sides”. I went with the Kaftans for my meat choice (sort of a lamb and beef mini meatloaf) and for my two side dishes I choose the loubieh (green beans and onion in an oil, garlic, and herb dressing) and sleek (a collard greens and chick pea’s dish). It also came with a zip-lock baggy containing a couple of pita slices. Everything was delicious and I’m sure I’ll be back again to try some of their other offerings.
Madonna’s isn’t exactly a plush or cozy place. The seating is more like what you would find in a fast food restaurant. But the service is quick and the food is good. I challenge you to step outside your culinary comfort zone during your next lunch break and discover something more than burgers and pizza.

Fresh and Delicious. Great lunch spot! The venue is bright and spotlessly clean .. the food is fresh and delicious. Servings are large and the prices are reasonable. It's a favorite.
Love in a pita. I've only been here twice but it's quickly becoming a favorite. The food is fresh and delicious. The sleek is incredible. The chicken is perfect. The salads are made of fresh delicious ingredients. I can't wait to work my way through the menu. And the staff are friendly and helpful, too.

Good food.. Was walking to subway on smithfield and noticed this place. Decided to give it a try. Very clean (unlike its predecessor) and the staff was very nice. I ordered a chicken shawarma pita sandwich and a side of hummus. Everything was outstanding and will be back to try other menu options
Easily the best lunch in downtown! You gotta get their roasted chicken with rice and loubieh. The flavor is out of this world! Also the folks at Madonna’s are wonderful and kind :)
Taste is so close to home, rice, green beans, topped with Chicken Shawarma with garlic sauce. Sides are fresh cucumber sauce and taboli
Found this place on google maps when in town for work! I wanted something semi healthy. Quick 10 minute walk from the hotel and the food was ready within second. Very delicious pita and chicken. Everyone behind the counter was very friendly and there was a large lunch crowd on a Monday but it moved through quickly!
I got a side cucumber tomato salad and dipped the pita in. Perfect vinegar flavor to add to the lunch!
Really enjoyed my visit to this restaurant. The family (that owns this restaurant) was very nice to us and the food was fantastic. In fact, I happened to come in when they just finished a fresh batch of grape leaf rice wraps, which they were kind enough to offer me a sample of. Fantastic! My son and I shared a Shawarma platter, with sides of rice and falafel, all of which were fresh and tasted great! I also appreciated the fact that this restaurant was very clean. Finally, I was pleasantly surprised with how early they opened. The bottom line is that I highly recommend this place!!!
Almost exactly $20 for a whole platter of great food that you could get 2 meals out of. The most surprising were the spicy lima beans, they were amazing
The food (Kafta) is amazing. The owner and staff are tremendous, friendly, and generous. I recommend Madonna’s! Thank you for making my downtown lunch time great. It is healthy and delicious.
I work part-time in the evenings downtown and I've passed by this place many times during their off hours. Today I found myself in the area at lunchtime and was finally able to try them out. I was very impressed! The chicken shawarma pita sandwich I had was delicious! It's kind of like a burrito that's made with a pita instead of a tortilla, filled with shawarma of course. The hummus was tasty, too! The dining room is comfortable and spacious, but like any good city lunch spot, it can get pretty crowded and noisy during the lunch rush.
I only wish they were open later so I could patronize more often!
Meet Mario, he makes home made baklava, which is to die for, a perfect blend. I had the kafta and damn it was good. A friend has the falafel and got lucky and has to wait for some fresh cooked, other than a burnt tongue he loved it. If not for being so good he wouldn’t have burnt it twice. Thanks!
This is my favorite lunch spot downtown! The owners are super-sweet and I love the food. I don't know how they make those spicy (lima?) beans, but I could eat those every day! Highly recommended stopping by Madonna's!
Fresh as can be! Generous servings. Real food, being made with love by real people. We had the Gyro and Falafel entree with Tabbouleh, hummus and Lima beans on side. Highly recommend. Thinking of getting another order of Falafel to eat for breakfast tomorrow. 😂. PS - it best pita bread I’ve ever had. Thin. Warm grain smell, a perfect little pocket!
