Had a gift certificate from a cousin for 5 yrs, have tried numerous times to use it but just never worked. (Their hours never worked with ours) So here we finally get to use it, and the event we are at before is going long. They close at 10 pm and we stroll in at 9:45 (and some other rando couple is behind us). Staff couldn’t have been better, we were so afraid that we would keep them waiting (by we I mean my wife) that we were actually in and out before others before us. Food was amazing, probably one of the top 5 meals I’ve ever had. Super awesome atmosphere and cannot stress how amazing the food is. My wife got the Porchetta and I had the Salsiccia & Finocchi. So amazing! Go to this place! You won’t regret it.

One of my favorite restaurants! Authentic Italian with great customer service! I have been here a few times and am never disappointed. The only downfall is the size of the restaurant. Since it is small you will need reservations, especially if going on a weekend. Great for a date night or a night out with friends/family.

Hubby and I are big-time foodies. Tried this place for the first time tonight. Now I understand why they have received so many awards and why they are always booked. It was the best pasta dish I have ever ate in my entire life! We also had the squash appetizer, bread, and a cream puff. EVERY SINGLE BITE WAS AMAZING! Service is excellent!! Cannot wait to go back ASAP !!

I had low expectations because gluten free pasta at restaurants can often be an afterthought, but it was so incredible and definitely worth the visit! The salad was also excellent. The restaurant itself is a pleasant environment and I like that they didn’t have music blasting, but it was still quite noisy, maybe with the acoustics in the room and it being a crowded night. Not a huge issue but something I would consider for timing a second visit.

I was able to try a few of the staples of this location for both the lunch and breakfast times. I will say the atmosphere and comfort level of this location and being a new customer has been its true value to me. I felt comfortable and calm while the place was busy, and I didn't feel rushed. I will say that the crispy potato dish was very well made (price was within a dollar of the value) would recommend. The meatball, without a doubt, is one of the best and most enjoyable I have had out in Pittsburgh, almost as good as your grandmother's (or maybe better). The breakfast egg sandwich was unique and good. The roll was its most pleasant feature. With an over easy egg that was perfect for dipping, without getting much assistance, I decided to try the prosciutto, which was a good choice. It was super thin to save on quantity but was very tasty. Only thing I can say is I wish they had chosen to use an Italian cheese for this instead of a melted American cheese that really felt like a forced common place item that wasn't really thought all the way thru (personal feeling taste was fine). All in all, I like this place and would go back to try some other things, including those delectable deserts I that looked fresh!

Best cacio e pepe I have had outside of Italy!! Most authentic. Love that all the pastas are homemade. Meatballs are excellent. Loved the rosso spritz. Excellent restaurant. Who knew you had to go to Pittsburgh to get good Italian food. (We are from Michigan).

What a treat to discover this gem for our anniversary. We ordered everything that looked good, took home so much food- tremendous on day two, also. The atmosphere is bustling but casual. The menu is diverse and the dishes are elegantly layered flavors approachable by any palate. The service was top notch. The dessert menu- we tried it all, had the BEST tiramisu I've had in decades. Not overpriced, but definitely not a low cost option. Definitely worth the splurge!

I stopped at DiAnoia’s to see my son Dakota while he was working, I was visiting the area and had never been in. I’m gluten free, and what they brought out to me was so delicious and fresh I wanted to cry. 10/10 would recommend. From Lea who helped us up front to the Chef who prepared our food, it was an amazing experience!

the housemade bread was unreal, cocktails for Negroni week were great. pasta overall was good but the spaghetti was a little undercooked.. meatballs are definitely worth trying though. dining area itself was probably the loudest space I’ve ever eaten in but it’s packed pretty solid with tables and must just have bad acoustics. tiramisu dessert would be better if it didn’t come out nearly frozen. will be back on a week night to see if it’s quieter!

Wonderful gem in the Strip District of Pittsburgh. The food was wonderful and the service provided by Caleb was top notch. We ordered two appetizers, two meals (one was a seasonal dish the other I believe is standard) dessert to share and coffee. The house focaccia bread with dipping oil was the best bread I’ve ever had. You can’t go wrong here. Reservations needed and they are booked out so you need to plan ahead.
