My favorite place to get loose leaf tea in Pittsburgh. Great custom blends and always at a great price! You can try a sample of any tea. The Lemon Zinger is great as an iced tea!
I just got off the phone with a gentleman from Presto George. We have been ordering from them for a while now. Best coffee beans in Pittsburgh if I’m being honest. We have never had a problem with any of our orders. Always timely, complete and never any mistakes. But that is not why I chose to leave them a review. You see, customer service is something that often goes unnoticed and I think people just grow to expect it and when they don’t get the level of service they feel they deserve, that’s when they run to leave a negative review. They didn’t have a certain product and they just gave me a call to see if I wanted to substitute something else. The gentleman was polite, friendly and really made my day. Pretty simple interaction I know but still worthy of some positivity. Great job Presto George! Keep up the good work!
Stopped in for the first time today and had a great experience! The smell of this place when you walk in is amazing. I Ordered a vanilla Bean smoothie and it was very delicious. My girlfriend ordered a coffee and was really impressed too , She was happy the iced coffee wasn’t super strong like some places are in the area. The staff was friendly and the store inside was really neat to look at while we waited for our drinks !
Just be aware of your surroundings if you park and need to walk to the shop, we ran across some characters on our walk there (might have been a freak thing but didn’t expect anything less in the city.)
We have been coming here for years and years. My family loves their coffee, and we stock up when we come to the strip. I got a delicious latte. It took a while, but it was extremely busy, so that was understandable. Would totally recommend, mostly for the take home coffee.
Always a great experience. I love when the staff seems happy and engaged. Amazing coffees and teas were referred (I asked for recommendations). I legit paid a few bucks for a mystery bag of coffee, which tastes great. I couldn't keep but notice that even the staff member that made my drink at the end, because you simply can't go there and NOT leave with a drink, seemed to really enjoy making it. It even tasted happy. I'm a repeat customer and will continue going back. I don't live close so I stock up whenever I'm in town. Kudos, y'all!
Our favorite spot for loose leaf tea! (They have coffee as well). Anyways, this shop is amazing! Gives off 1960 vibes with a hardworking/dedicated staff! They have SO many different teas to choose from and always have rotational seasonal flavors! Did I mention they are so cost effective? Before I discovered prestogeorge, I was buying in bulk online-let’s just say I save over $500 a year (without shipping costs) by shopping locally! 10/10 recommend!
If you are a lover of either tea or coffee, this place will change your life. Upon walking in you are greeted with the smell of freshly roasting coffee ☕ They were packed to the brim with people but everyone was friendly, despite the busyness.
Every type of tea you can imagine lined the walls. Several dozen coffee beans from all over the world were available to be custom ground for your preferred method of brewing. Everything about this place is a must visit again, experience.
I got a lemon biscotti and a rose latte. I must say all the latte flavors that my friends and I got are overly sweet, but all of the flavors were great. That is my main concern.
The biscotti had great fresh taste, but I wish it had more of a crunch like a tea cookie.
Nonetheless, the staff was super friendly and helpful, prices are good, and it’s a cool and unique shop all around!
Plan on being here a while. Not only are they busy, but there are just so many choices! Coffee roasted fresh daily, teas galore, so many accessories to elevate your coffee or tea experience AND! a barista on staff to make your favorite beverage! You can't beat the prices, and sniffs are always free. The staff is always friendly and knowledgeable, always happy to answer questions and chat a bit.
If you're on the strip and you skip Prestogeorge, that means more for me and sad times for you!
Loved the strong herbal chai that one of the staff members recommend. It helped cure my upset tummy. I will definitely stop by again to get some tea for home from this candyland for tea and coffee.
The best place to get coffee in Pittsburgh! They have a huge assortment of whole bean coffee and loose leaf tea for purchase. My favorites are Yirgacheffe, Sumatra Mandheling and Kona. The smell as you walk in here is so aromatic and robust with the all the varied notes from all the different beans. It’s olfactory Nirvana! If you don’t a certain coffee, it’s ok, just ask the amazingly friendly and knowledgeable staff for help and they’ll get you something you’re sure to enjoy. Be sure to also try their fresh, roasted peanuts. So good. Cheers!
