From the hostess to the young host-in training, the waitress, Janeth, and the bartender we couldn’t want for more personalized service. We return regularly because the food and drinks are delicious! We mix it up each time and the food never disappoints.
My 88 yo friend who is not sure footed returned to use the bathroom and the hostess made sure she was safe walking on the Saltillo tile. Even waiting for her and walking her to the door! Such a kind gesture.
I have never had an issue when I visit Manuel's Mexican Restaurant. Yes I'm not a true it is always delicious, the atmosphere always gives play traditional and modern Latin vibe. The service was a little slower than usual, which was disappointing, but the great taste of our meals more than made up for it.
We came in after 8:45, we were sitting in the bar. The bartender was also out waitress... She did such a an amazing job being by herself. It was a joy to watch her be overwhelmed, but smile and make sure we had all our needs met.
Sweet Mexican restaurant great staff and great food . We all 4 had margaritas and they were all very weak drinks and we wouldn't pay for that again but all else was really good. Can't say enough about the kindness and effort of the staff . We would definitely go again!

John was our server. Was very friendly, attentive and efficient. The food was awesome, as usual. The carnitas are amazing. Lots of flavor. Had the carnitas enchilada with rice and beans. Nice and quiet so it's easy to have a conversation. Highly recommend them.

Delicious as usual! We had the enchilada dinner and red chili burrito, enchilada style. We did take out. If you're concerned about covid, they follow all protocols. The order was perfect, food was still hot when we got home. Manuels is awesome! Keep up the good work.
UPDATE: Had the craving for some salsa and chips. Still one of the best!
I was a little worried when we entered, because the front counter area was pretty dismal and dirty looking. But the interior of the restaurant was clean and comfortable. The food was great, and they were not stingy with the chips and salsa. I had a shredded beef chimi and the beef was flavorful and tender, and was golden brown and crispy on the outside. Everyone else enjoyed their entrées as well. Service was excellent.
Good food. We asked for two tables instead of one as we were a large group - had to go all the way up to the manager to make that happen. Unfortunate. Bar tab could not be transferred. Equally not great.
The breakfast was good. Service staff kept on top of our needs. The salsa and chips at the start were good too. I got the Tamale with eggs and potatoes. Potatoes were pretty greasy. Rick got the chilli relleno omelet with beans. This was the better of the two dishes.
Manuel's has been the corner stone for mexican food in Phoenix for over 40 years. We truly have enjoyed all of the time's we spent at Manuel's with excellent service and perfect presentation of all orders. Thanks to all the staff at Manuel's and many more years of continued flavors of the beast mexican food.
