This place is a gem! The four of us ordered a plethora of food from shrimp biriyani, goat curry, chicken tikka masala, fries, veggie samosas, Chana masala, and three orders of garlic naan. The draught collection was amazing but I stuck with the city wide special of a beer and a bourbon for only $7. Most of the entrees took about a hour to arrive with only two tables so I was glad to get the fries to enjoy with the drinks. Service was pretty good and more people started to arrive at the bar which was great to see. Ambiance’s great and loved the large tvs to watch the games. We will be back for sure!

It’s so great to have a place like this so close to home. Great food, and an elevated sports bar all in one. - oh, and they have outlets at the bar to charge your devices, and a beer and shot 7$ special ☺️
Awesome newly renovated spot. Really nice chill atmosphere. Delicious authentic Indian food, great craft beer selection, a really creative and original cocktail menu, and great service! This neighborhood needed a spot like this.
One of the good bar in south philly. If you think spent good time in this area then give chance to this bar. They never disappoint. All staff member are nice. I visit this bar last Sunday. The ambiance of the bar is energetic. People are watching game and enjoying thier beverage and food. Food is really tasty. I love this bar. Customer service is amazing. Thank You to all staff member who serve us well.
Welcome (back) to the neighborhood! Excellent draft beer list and food. We had the veggie samosas (3), masala French fries, chicken tikka biryani (star of the show!), and garlic naan. Already can’t wait to come back!
I’ve visited many bars within the great city of philadelphia. However, Madira is the definition of a hidden gem. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the food was outstanding. Marisa, was the bartender on both of my visits and she was professional, and attentive throughout. Also made one of the best old fashioned’s I ever had. I’ll definitely be coming back.

Food is excellent, beer is good, prices fair. Etc. Bangain Bharta in particular is excellent. Only issue is that the service can be inconsistent, as the bartender is also the waiter at times, meaning it can be a while before you get your food.
The food is here amazing, they have an impressive beer list with a variety of brews and prices, the vibe is welcoming and comfortable, and bar tender/server Jen is kind, funny, and really on top of it. I’m glad to have Madira in the neighborhood to be one of our usual spots!
I went to the place for the first time last week and it was wonderful! Angel was so kind and helpful, making a great experience for us overall and always making sure everything was ok. The food was amazing, great flavor, full taste and perfect spicing. Definetly makes you want to come back for more, especially with such great hospitality!
