Hidden Gem of Manayunk. After passing this place 100 times, my girlfriend and I finally decided to give Bob's Diner a break and stop into Mel's for breakfast. Breakfast was great, place is cute (a little small) and quaint. Breakfast was good and a more than generous portion. We like breakfast so much we ended up ordering lunch for delivery. Lunch was amazing, the soup and quesadilla were unreal.... do yourself a favor and try for yourself.

You won't leave hungry. I've had a couple of lunches at Mel's and neither has disappointed. Went once myself and had the Chicken Cutlet Parm. The cutlets are house made and the sandwich was huge. I barely touched the fries I got on the side (they were good, but I couldn't put the sandwich down!).

The second time I went with three co-workers and we all were extremely happy. I had the roast pork with prov, which was sublime. Another co-worker had the chic parm at my suggestion. The other two had a breakfast burrito and a turkey club and both raved.

My wife also tried it one Saturday and didn't stop talking about the roasted pork Italiano for days.

A must try!

I discovered this place by accident about 3 weeks ago. I had the Roast Pork Italiano with roasted homemade hot peppers and I think it's the best in town. Since then I have been back several times and have had an excellent meal each time. The cheeseburgers blow away Five Guys and the turkey is made fresh daily.

I also like the fact that they serve breakfast all day, especially for those days I may be a little hungover. They have had different soup choices each day which I have enjoyed. I loved the crab corn chowder. It is addicting. I have recommended this place to everyone I know.

The best breakfast and lunch counter in Philadelphia. Every single thing is made w love and care. The staff is 100% phenomenal and super nice. The have crayons and paper form my daughter.If I had the money I'd eat here 2 meals a day. They have outdoor seating with umbrellas. Enjoy

A small local spot with delicious fare. There is always something good for breakfast and lunch here. A family favorite brunch spots that does take out as well. A friendly staff is always waiting with a great daily special and a smile

Quick & Friendly service, delicious & filling food and reasonable prices. Great 'go-to' spot for a bite to eat. Haven't had anything bad here. Only annoyance is the lack of seating. Parking close to the restaurant can also sometimes be a bit difficult.

I think mels original google maps pin was deleted somehow, so I guess I’ll be the first to review the new one. I love the food here, and highly recommend jc’s breakfast creation. It’s a phenomenal idea, but if I could change one thing it would be to use thinner bacon. The thick bacon she uses is on the hammier side
